Erin is a really great host. Responded to my request super quick and it was very last minute (on the same day) as my previous booking fell through. Amazingly helpful in my situation. Gave me perfect directions from where I was staying and I had a very nice welcome to her home upon arrival. Erin has a really good knowledge of New York and had loads of great recommendations of things to do and places to see. The room is exactly as pictured and feels very private due to the separate entrance to the room. The building is nice and secure, located right next to a huge park and a subway station on the doorstep. The only minus I can give is the bed isn't the most comfortable being a futon, but that is mentioned in the description. I would stay here again.
Erin is very nice host. She was helpful and despite our short visit she let us feel as home. We had everything we needed. The place is in good location, really close to subway so it was easy to explore NY. Thanks!
I only have positive things to say about Erin and her place in Brooklyn, It was great staying there, she was super sweet and helpful. The room is downstairs with it's own 1/2 bathroom and it's own private entrance. I couldn't have felt more at home. Thank you Erin!
I stayed 3 months at Erin's place and she was really welcoming with me. She answer all the questions I had and help me every time I was in need. The area is really good, there is everything near around. Otherwise the description of the room is good, there is no door and it's just next to the laundry so if you are attentive to the noise you won't like it. The other negative thing is that the bed is broke in the middle, really not convient and hurt the back.
Erin was easy to communicate with before check-in, and was flexible in setting up a time to meet me at the apartment. She made me feel very welcome, giving me a tour of the apartment and talking with me about local bars, cafes, and restaurants.
The room itself is really pleasant: private, quiet, with its own entrance and bathroom, and a window letting in natural light. It is conveniently located a stone's throw from the Subway (literally about fifty yards or less).
I stayed in Erin's place while I looked for a summer apartment; it was so nice, I wish I had booked it in time to stay the whole summer!
Erin made me feel welcome right away! He place is a short walk to the subway, and the area is really nice, it made me feel safe. This was my first time using this site, and after my experience I will definitely be using it again. Erin's home is really lovely, and I felt comfortable there. Negative points: Room was in the basement so it was really cold! There were plenty of blankets to use though so I stayed warm at night. As you can see in the photo there is a spiral stair case leading to the basement, meaning the room isn't completely closed in. Erin tried to be really quiet but I still woke up from noise in the morning. If you're a light sleeper this may be something you want to know. Also, the bed was a little uncomfortable, it felt like there was a hard bored right down the middle of it. If you're a small person you might feel other wise. There were plenty of pillows, a t.v., and a separate entrance to the basement though!
I stayed at Erin's to finish up my last semester of law school. It was close to the subway and easy to commute to school. Pretty great.
I stayed at Erin's house for 2 months. The position was perfect, because it was in front of subway. There are B and Q trains and it takes less than 30 minutes to get to Manhattan. I liked the neighborhood, there are many groceries and delis and bars, and it is a safe place. The room is in a basement with a private bathroom and the laundry is just in the next door. Upstair there is a big kitchen and living room shared with Erin. She is a very kind woman, she helps you with everything you need and she is perfect to recommend you the best coffee bars, restaurants or attractions to visit. If you want to discover the best of NYC, you need the recommendations of a real new yorker as Erin!!!
Erin is super sweet and an amazing host.
The room is exactly what is in the photos, it's in the basement, but has a window and a nice breeze.
I really enjoyed my stay at Erin's place. The bedroom is a large, quiet basement room (with a window and it's own bathroom) in a large apartment, near beautiful Prospect Park lake and right next to the most convenient subway line. Erin is knowing, helpful and easygoing and out at work most or the time, so there's privacy.
Erin and her fiancé, Juan, were great! They are both very personable. Erin communicated thoroughly and promptly and kept me up to date on their arrival time. Originally, they had planned to stay elsewhere and due to inclimate weather, had a change so they reached out to me. I was so happy to be able to help and host them at the last minute. They left everything tidy and were very easy to host. I would have them back any time. Also, Erin hosts in her home, so I can't wait to stay with her one day!
I hardly knew she was there! I had to run in and out and was so busy I didn't get a chance to say hi. But her emails were hilarious and I wished I got a chance to meet her. Otherwise very clean and easy guest.
Erin and her boyfriend are perfect guests. I'm happy to have met them and have them around a few days. It was also great to chat a bit with a fellow host! Thanks, Erin!!
Erin and her boyfriend were delightful guests!
Erin was pleasant to deal with and considerate of our apartment. We would have her back and recommend her for future bookings.
Erin was a great and respectful guest and is welcome back anytime!
