Response from Will:
My house is always spotless for my (website hidden)
I am disheartened both to hear that Monique and Gary were not happy with their stay, and also to have my first not-awesome review. I'd like to address this issue for anyone who is reading Monique's review and apprehensive therefor about booking. Monique and Gary have standards that clearly go far beyond most people's as far as cleanliness. If I had known this, I would not have agreed to host them. Of all my guests, these are the first to complain about this. I promise you all, I scrubbed the bathroom floor just before they arrived for over an hour - JUST THE FLOOR for an hour - yet they still somehow found some grimy corner. To them, this means the place looked NOTHING like the photos on the site. OK. Fine.
Then there's the TV. My listing indicates there is `a TV, WiFi and internet, but not Cable service. America has not had Broadcast TV for almost a decade. I believe this is also indicated in my listing's description, along with the adapters I went and bought just so my guests can use their laptops and smart phones on the big pretty TV. Monique and Gary should not have expected anything else, and I don't even feel sorry about this because it is made plain in the listing. Caveat Emptor! I'll eat those words because I could have made sure Monique and Gary were not so demanding and finicky. They sent me photos (well after having checked out, gone home and left me this review) of the inside of the fan above the stove, inside the rails of the shower doors, inside the air conditioners vents, and provided a story about one piece of paper between the bed and the wall as proof that I did not clean at all. I'm not mad at them, I'm just say9ing that it should be known that most people will find their level of expectations unreasonable. Fair warning.
