Mother of two wonderful children, wife, traveler and yoga instructor.
This is a cute little house in a very quiet area within walking distance of the center of town. It is also very close to the Civil War museum and My Old Kentucky Home park. It had everything you would expect (stove, frig, washer and dryer) but no microwave. The wifi was excellent; we had several devices going at the same time with no problem. I definitely would stay here again.
Good location in Bardstown - within easy walking distance of downtown. Clean and quiet. Excellent wifi connectivity. I'd love to stay at The Goldenrod again.
Great little house. Jennifer left us to ourselves and gave us all the tools to help us have an enjoyable experience. Bardstown is a beautiful little town too!
Jennifer is an attentive and friendly host. The Goldenrod was spotless and cozy. We had a great time in Bardstown and would not hesitate to stay again.
We had a great stay at The Goldenrod!! The neighborhood offered great accessibility to the distilleries, shops, and restaurants of Bardstown. The place was very clean and offered everything we needed - the front porch was great for playing cards and relaxing in the evening. Jennifer was very easy to work with and friendly. Thank you!!
Wonderful little place near the center of Bardstown from what I could tell. Was in town for a wedding, and although it was only for one night, it (email hidden) to stay. Jennifer was quick to reply to my request and very quick to reply on all communication. Would definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area.
Response from Jennifer:
Don't worry about the coffee grounds. Sorry I wasn't around. We try to be available but not intrusive.
The Goldenrod is a pleasant and private place to stay while visiting the charming town of Bardstown, KY. There is plenty of space to call your own, a screened-in front porch for sitting on while you sip your coffee in the morning, birds singing in the trees, and a comfortable bed on which to sleep the night. The house was very clean, the towels thick & soft, and linens fresh. I would stay there again, and definitely recommend it to other Airbnb members.
Jennifer (email hidden) - quick to answer any questions I had. The property is very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing that was not as I expected was that there was no door on the bedroom, which was only separated from the living room by an open double-wide doorway. It was fine, but if you're looking for a "private" sleeping area, this is not your house. We took our toddler with us and had to be much quieter after he went to bed at night than we originally planned! But overall nice stay - great location to walk downtown.
I stayed 2 nights at the Goldenrod. Jennifer's communication was quick, friendly, professional.
The cottage is clean and spacious, close to downtown. Beall Street toward town is an excellent walking area.
I would stay again if the opportunity came up. Thank you!
Note that the cottage isn't air conditioned.
This property is well located near the small downtown section of Bardstown, directly off the main road through the town. The host was kind enough to name some places to check out, which were all nearby. The house itself was a relatively comfortable place to stay and everything seemed clean. It has a full kitchen, and good wifi connectivity.
Wow, we loved having Jennifer around for nearly an entire month! She managed to remain so calm and quiet while on her yogic journey, but incredibly fun to chat with when the occasion arose. It was an honor to host another beautiful soul from the Louisville area and we hope to have the honor to see her and maybe her family next time!
Jennifer and her husband were great. They were quiet and considerate. They left our place very neat and tidy. We only wish they could have stayed longer....
Jennifer and her husband were so great. I would love to have them stay again!!
