Originally from England, but have been living in NYC for 8 years. Work hard during the week and love to maximize weekends by enjoying the outdoors, skiing, hiking, surfing, playing tennis and exploring the countryside.
This was a nice, large New York apartment. We enjoyed our brunch next door and the interesting neighborhood. There were very clear instructions in the apartment, and picking up the key from the doorman was a breeze. The big TV and couch were great for football, and the water cooler was an added plus.
Emily-Jane was unbelievable, she was amazing at organzing her place, getting it all clean, and ensuring we received the keys as soon as we arrived at her place, all within short notice! She even went out of her way to make sure we were okay after a hurricane hit, and offered her condo for us in the case we were stranded at the airport!
The condo itself is spectacular, very big and can comfortably accommodate 4 people, she even offered us an air mattress with an electronic pump, and extra sheets and pillows.
It was clean, with no issues whatsoever
I highly recommend this condo if you are looking for a quiet spot in the Meatpacking District!
This is a great listing with everything as described. Emily-Jane has thoughtfully left instructions and suggestions to make you feel at home upon arrival. Nice touch to leave keys with doormen at desk for the opportunity to introduce yourselves to the security.
Lots of space to spread out in instead of the boxes that some listings turn out to be. Despite being next to construction of new Whitney Museum the location is surprisingly quiet and any ambient noise from neighbouring apartments is occasional and typical New York anyway. (We always travel with ear plugs).
All amenities as described. 10 minute amble to subway. Riverside walk, run or bicycle for miles beside Hudson and the delightful High Line attraction is at your doorstep.
If you're into self catering you'll need to hunt uptown for selection and pricing for supplies as corner stores etc in neighbourhood the vendors should wear masks before robbing you.
When we return to New York we will certainly arrange our trip around the availability of this listing.
