Gio was very responsive, as was the home's caretaker Isoline. The location is fantastic for access to Cannes and Monaco (we went to both on the train - no car necessary) - great town with nice restaurants. Secure location, with a great porch for breakfasts and gathering. Spacious place, comfortable rooms.
when we saw some of the comments made by former guests to this flat . we got really scared . but in reality we dont understand these very strong critics and repproaches . the flat is very nice . perfectly located for those who want to enjoy the beach and tourist area of Dubai . the check in was easy and clear . we had no problem with the internet ; not any smell contrary to what was noticed formerly . now we are very surprised by these negative points . only 2 points which we dont understand is the facts that we were told that there is swimming pool and a gym club free for residence members in the JBR residence ; the gym was closed . and there is no swimming pool . but there is a gym very close and quite cheap . and some pools in the hotels near but also not for free ; why giving wrong information in the add ?? really surprising but apart from these ; we are very happy with the flat and the service given . we recommend it .
PROs: Good location, literally a 3 minute walk to the beach and the JBR Walk is right downstairs. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the metro and about a 15 minute walk to the Dubai Marina which is a great little area. The apartment is a good size with enough space to spread out and pretty clean. The grocery store downstairs is very handy as well. Certainly no shortage of shops and shopping around this place so no complaints there.
•Those familiar with AirBnB will know that communication is key and me being a cautious and organized planner I found the communication here to be frustrating at best (after I had booked and paid). I was given no less than 3 numbers to contact, no reply for days and confusing back and forth on text once someone actually replied to me. In the end it all worked out fine but the stress of it is not worth it for me and therefore would not recommend again. I have used AirBnB several times so I know what I expect when booking and especially when I land in the country-- I want to know exactly where I am going, who i am meeting and how I am getting into the flat. I don't think these are unreasonable requests?
In this case the communication was not great as the previous reviewer mentioned as well.
•The towels in the flat were old and cheap and really not good quality at all. Basically old gym towels.
•The WiFi network I was told to use did not exist, luckily there was another one that I linked onto and was tolerable but nothing in the flat as to what to use so I had to text the owner. Again just poorly planned. Leaving a simple note inside with WiFi network and password is easy.
•The closet just inside the main door had distinct damp and mildew smell that permeates the flats, not a pleasant odor to walk into every day.
•The en suite toilet leaked so the floor was consistently wet, so we used the second bathroom instead
•No bathroom amenities aside from toilet paper. This is normal for most AirBnb rentals but just so people are aware when showing up. Also the shower curtain was mildewy and stained.
•Says gym in the description but we were told by 2 security guards downstairs in the building there was no gym we could use? Maybe a misunderstanding?
This could be a really great spot with some much needed attention to detail.
The apartment is bare but clean. The biggest drawback to this place is the stench, possibly from the marina. It smells heavily of sewage that can make sleeping rather difficult. The towels provided were extremely irritating and had obviously been used more often than even hotel towels.
The owner of the flat, Gio, actually uses a property company to manage the residence. The manager, Jasmine Miletic, is less than responsive but helpful enough. You will only meet Nashad, who is in charge of cleaning.
