and I'll be happy to receive travelers from every corner of the world at my place!
Catarina's place is small, but has all you need. It is super conveniently situated in a beautiful part of Tokyo, where you can reach every place easily via subway. Beautifully decorated home!
Catarina is very welcoming and thoughtful. Once you step in to the house rest assured that everything essential has been taken care of. This is a lovely place to live in, where you can find commuters in the morning from the balcony accompanied by the calmness of lovely Japan and the nearby shrine. The warm sunshine that pours in every morning is very comforting as well. Highly recommended for one or two people looking for an authentic Japanese home.
This is a lovely and cozy apartament in a wonderful area of Tokyo!
Catarina is very nice and you will find everything you need.
I really recommend it :)
In this cozy and calm place surrounded by the atmosphere of the beautiful Akagi Shrine and numerous small restaurants, we had all we needed thanks to Catharina.
Stayed 5 nights with my boyfriend and we fell in love with Kagurazaka. The supermarket near the apartment sells the yummiest cocoa drink in a carton! However, do note there is no elevator at Kagurazaka station if you have large suitcase. Catarina is a fantastic host - waiting for us at the apartment though our journey got delayed and providing some food for our breakfast the next day. Check in/out was a breeze and she was easily contactable. I would definitely stay here again!
We stayed for 13 nights in Tokyo and it was a really great experience!
The appartement made us feel like we were really living there and it was perfect to discover all the great places of Tokyo. The appartement was clean and really cosy. You can find there everything you need. It leaves nothing to be desired!
Catarina is a very nice hostess and was always availible when we had question or other requests. She made our stay as comfortable as possible.
I highly recommend it!
We are a couple from Europe and we stayed at Catarina’s over the New Year’s 2012/2013. The place is functionally a wonderful Japanese experience decorated with an eye for detail which makes an intimate atmosphere as opposed to hotels or other types of accommodation. The neighbourhood is very nice and trendy, with many restaurants and shops and a temple behind the house. The area is close by metro or train lines to anywhere else in the city, which is hugely important in a city the size of Tokyo. Catarina is a great host, she gave us the best tips for things to do, places to go and restaurants to eat – we followed them and were very happy. We also had complimentary breakfast and a bottle of wine, bathroom accessories, maps, notes and other things that made our stay even more pleasant and comfortable. We warmly recommend Catarina’s place and her as host.

We stayed 4 nights at Catarina's house, it was an awesome experience of Tokyo with french touch. Yes the place is surrounded with French eateries and in the evening it becomes so lively that it gives a feel of walking in a alley of Europe.
House is perfect for two people, very cozy, warm with ethnic touch to it, which made our stay more better.
Catarina was very helpful from the day we booked her place helping us in planning our trip especially exploring the Tokyo and its nearby areas.
We will definitely return to her place when we re-visit Tokyo.
Thank you Catarina!! Stay in touch :)
We had an excellent time at Catarina's cozy little place in Kagurazaka. I went with my wife in my 5 monts old baby. It was our first time in Tokio, so we were a little overwhelmed by the city, but Cat gave us precise directions on how to get there and wait for us on the metro station, even after a delay in our flight.
Cat's place is tiny, but extremly functional, clean and charming, with nice little objects from all over the world. And the quarter!!! Kagurazaka is a great Tokio quarter, almost an oasis in a very hectic city. For us, it was a perfect place where to have a first contact with japanese culture, and at the end of the journey Kagurazaka was for sure our preferred Tokio quarter, full of nice resturants, little alleys, micro japanese bars and shops.
Furthermore, Cat's appartament is very well located, close to Kagurazaka metro station, and also close to the convenient JR Chuo line Iidabashi station.
Overall we were very happy with our days in Kagurazaka. Thank you Cat!
PS: Some nights I had to work on my conference presentation while I was at Cat's place, and the pocket wifi worked (email hidden)2: Thank you Cat for the things you left for breakfast in the fridge! After a 10 hours flight and no energy (nor japanese language skills) at all to go to the supermarket, we were glad to have something to drink and eat...
