I am polish I lived in London for over 10 years. Just moved to Sydney
I stayed in Mariusz's flat for two nights. Over all it was a good stay, however communicating on where the keys we're going to be left for me turned into a nightmare...
As Mariusz was out of town he arranged for me to pick the keys up at a different location. Basically it took me a couple of hours to locate the keys as I could not get hold of him ..
The flat itself is small but well equipped. And a great location although fairly noisy early morning and on the weekend.
I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to explore Sydney's sights and night life.
I had a great week staying at Mariusz's place. Everything was in order, the place was clean and very cozy, very close to Kings Cross train station and buses stops. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a nice and easy stay in Sydney. Mariusz was also very easy to reach, replying my emails very quickly.
This apartment was in the best location, in great condition and well set-out. Mariusz was a great communicator and I definitely recommend this AirBnB option for Sydney.
I recommend Mariusz's place to travellers! It is central, convenient and very close to public transport (bus and train services are 100 meters away). The place is tidy, compact and well equipped. Mariusz is excellent at responding to his texts/ emails and has been very helpful host. I had a good stay and will hope to visit again in the future.
Mariusz was very friendly and helpful and his appartment was so lovely. It was really close to everything, walking distance to the CBD. We'd recommend Mariusz and his apartment !
Sorry for the delay. Been traveling through areas with no wifi. Very satisfied with Mariusz's apartment. Perfect location, very clean and newly painted, includes frig, microwave, washer. Fair price. I'll stay there again, and recommend it to others.
The studio was cozy and perfectly located for our stay in Sydney.
The communication with Mariusz was good and he was very flexible.
We would stay there again!
Nice and conveniently located to the city. Really good communication from mariusz even on such short notice!
The good thing about Mariusz’ apartment is that it’s really close to the underground station so it’s a perfect base to visit the city. It was not so easy to find the apartment (the address wasn’t clear for us), but we called Mariusz and he explained us how to get there.
If we think about all our AirBnb experiences though, we have to admit that we never found an apartment so dirty and so uninviting as the one Mariusz proposed us. We even found sheets to wash and dry in the laundry at the basement before we could go to bed! Although the price of the apartment is cheap if you compare to other places in London, in our opinion it’s better to spend some more money to have a cosier place instead.
This place was a disappointment. It started off having to go pick up the apartment key at a nearby bar. Ok.. no problem. It was a very busy bar and I had to trouble the bartenders to find the key. To start the frustration, nobody at the bar knew about any key. I called the owner and he was overseas in the US, and he insisted the key was there so I continued to bother the bartender for the key. No key, called him back and he screamed at me, asking me what do I want him to do as he is overseas and insisted the key was at the bar. I got frustrated and felt like I should just get a hotel and not deal with this but i gave it a chance. After about 1 hour of expensive back and forth phone calls overseas to the USA to sort things out, he suggested that I go to his place and the onsite landlord might be able to help get me in. Luckily, the landlord had a spare set of keys and was able to let my girlfriend (who waited in the cold outside for about 1.5 hrs near the tube station while I sorted this out) and I in. Needless to say, it was very frustrating having to deal with all this.
We managed to get in the apartment and the set of keys were lying on the table in the house - not at the bar. The house was smelly, seemed like it came from the carpet. The table and kitchen was full of grime, unwashed dishes in the sink, kettle full of mold inside, bathroom full of grime. There were no sheets on the bed and we had to look for sheets to put on the bed so we could just sleep away the incident. We opened the wardrobe, the bedsheets were all stuffed inside unfolded and we couldn't tell if they were clean or not but we didn't have a choice but to use it. The towels were also inside the wardrobe and they were mostly stained but we also had no choice but to use them. My girlfriend had to clean up the house and scrubbed down the bathroom before we settled in. We were very tempted to move out and get a hotel but it was after 10pm, cold and we didn't want to lug our luggage around, so we stayed.
Book this place if you just want a cheap place (it's at zone 2) and it is conveniently close to the tube station. You shouldn't care about cleanliness. Also, the owner's attitude was bad although he later tried to apologize for his outbreak. It was too late though, he had offended me and had not delivered a clean place or convenient transition or experience. I have been lucky to have had great experiences with Airbnb but this one had shown me how things can go wrong and has left me doubting.
very nice guest, thank you for staying!
Mariusz was an excellent guest. there was good communication and he showed great respect for my home and my things. i would welcome him back at any time.
