I left Australia in my twenties to backpack around Europe as one did. I then lived and worked in London in finance and continued holidaying abroad, in the Middle East, America, Asia, Russia.
My career reincarnated through a friend into running a Bed & Breakfast from my Central London flat for many years. I enjoyed hosting people from all over the world and I returned home to Australia in 2001 with the intention of setting up a self-sustaining holiday retreat.
I founded RainbowStay in one of the most beautiful and ecologically diverse areas of the world and in 2010, with the installation of a solar array on the roof, the property became fully self-sustaining. It's now a popular retreat for South East Queenslanders as well as a strategic base for international guests to explore the Northern Rivers of New South Wales and in particular, the Rainbow Region of Lismore and Byron Bay.
