Originally from Oklahoma, I bounced between Chicago, New York, DC, Hong Kong and Beijing before admitting my love for our nation's capital and calling it home.

This apartment is very conveniently located. Even though I bought a metro pass, I found it easier sometimes to just walk where I wanted to go. Georgetown was a pleasant walk (maybe 1.2 miles?) and there were plenty of places to eat and get coffee in the general area. I mean, if you have trouble walking long distances, you'll have to take a cab or the metro in DC, but I enjoyed staying in Dupont Circle because I could walk anywhere I wanted in about 1/2 hour at a leisurely stroll.
I stayed here with my sister in law, who was running in the Cherry Blossom Festival race.
The apartment was charming. Decorating was nice. Pictures were very accurate. Though I didn't cook, preferring to enjoy the restaurants that DC is famous for, my SIL in law enjoyed having a kitchen and used it. There is a dishwasher, so cleanup is easy if you choose to eat-in rather than go out. The shower had good pressure and was hot. You can't beat the location, and though there were the normal city noises, the place was surprisingly quiet at night. I also felt very safe walking to/from the sights. No sketchy characters that I saw in the neighborhood, no loiterers, etc.
Owner was very easy to reach and responded to texts promptly.
I've stayed at other Airbnb properties, and they were more "guest room like" than lived-in. This is not a designated guest space. This is a home that someone has let you borrow for a weekend/couple of days. You'll be surrounded by lots of personal effects. There were lots of personal belongings in the common areas and the bedroom and bathroom. If this does not make you uncomfortable, this is a great place to stay at and explore DC.
There was a problem with the apartment lock and keybox. I mentioned this to the owners, so hopefully they can fix it soon as it was rather convenient to not be able to lock the apartment when we weren't there. Overall, a cute place in a great location at a great price.
This apartment is perfect for a weekend in the city. The location is extremely quiet, charming and convenient to the Metro and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. Decatur Place is a one way street, with buildings on one side only, a real mecca of peace and quiet located just a few blocks from bustling Dupont Circle.
The apartment itself is welcoming, charming, clean, comfortable. Sarah was a perfect host; responsive, responsible and helpful at every turn. The size of the apartment is perfect for a couple.
Consider yourself lucky if you have the opportunity to stay in this charming home.
Everything was great! The location is perfect and the apartment is very cozy - the bed extremely comfortable and it's very peaceful and quiet - we loved our time here and would definitely look to stay again next time we're back!
Sarah's beautiful apartment was a great launch pad for our weekend in Washington, DC. Close to Dupont Circle and walking distance to a host of great restaurants and bars. We also took advantage of the proximity to the Rock Creek trail for a run in the morning. The apartment was clean, bed was very very comfortable and the entire process was easy. We even took advantage of Sarah's generosity in sharing her coffee which was delicious. Would stay again happily.
Thanks for coming Sarah
Super cool couple. Didn't spend a lot of time together, but were a pleasure to have around.
Sarah and her partner were gracious and respectful, and were perfect guests. They seemed to find their own adventure (which seemed to fit nicely with their rented pick up) and were communicative when necessary. They left the place spotless. I would happily host them again, and recommend them highly to any future hosts.
Fantastic guest! Great experience!
