Yuri was a great host. He was smiling and friendly at the door when I arrived and helped me carry my bag up to his apartment on the second floor of the building. He had the wifi code and neighbourhood maps ready and took time to show me around the place and make sure all my questions were answered. He also texted the second day to make sure everything was going okay.
A highlight was definitely the natural light in the (king size!) bedroom and living room, and his invitation to use the espresso machine. Since it was very cold out my partner and I were happy to find many excellent restaurants within a block - especially loved 'Rumi' for dinner, and the 'Croissanterie' for breakfast.
The bath-tub was the weak point for me, it had been cleaned, but definitely has a bit of the old-montreal feel to it, i.e. some rust stains, peeling caulking. Other than that the place was quite clean and a wonderful home for a few days.
Yuri’s apartment is bright and the layout is attractive. The location is perfect and very close to everything we needed. We found the apartment to be very tidy however not very clean, but then not everyone has the same expectations. We too had issues with the toilet. Yuri was helpful but as the weather turned quite cold when we were there, we would have appreciated some heat.
Yuri's apartment was in the perfect location in Montreal. Everything from restaurants, bars, shopping and there metro were within walking distance of the apartment. And the bus stop to downtown was steps outside the door. For being on a busy main drag, the apartment was still nice and quiet day and night. My only negatives were that the bathroom wasn't equipped with clean towels and the toilet seemed to need to be fixed every other time we used it. Minor annoyances that we dealt with. That aside, I would definitely recommend Yuri's apartment to others on Air BnB.
Clean towels should have been there (as you know I wasn't in Montreal to make sure of that) , as for the toiled being broke thats news to me. I just got back and it seems fine. I am glad you enjoyed the place anyways.
Very well located spacious apartment in a cool neighbourhood with every possible amenity located within minutes, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, banks etc.. including the famous Fairmont Bagel Bakery which we frequented! Getting downtown was a simple bus ride, made easier by the bus stop being literally on the door step! We found Yuri to be very helpful during our visit.
Yuri really came through for us in a pinch and we were quite happy to have such a friendly and accommodating host. The apartment is perfectly situated to enjoy the plateau. Minutes walking to Fairmount bagels, Mt.Royal... metro/bus...and countless restaurants, cafes, etc. Grocery shopping is right next door! The apartment is roomy and affordable and has plenty of Montreal old school charm. Love the turntable and absence of televison. Thanks for helping to make our vacation so memorable and comfortable, Yuri. Much appreciated.
Nice place to stay for a week in Montreal! Great location, and Yuri made sure that we had everything we needed.
Chouette appartement, spacieux, hyper lumineux.
Very nice appartment, with natural light and a huge double bed. The flat is located in a central district, close to all commodities (bank, pharmacy, supermarket...), and minutes away from awesome bagel and croissant shops! A bus in front of the building takes you to the city centre in 10mns. Perfect for a 1-week stay. Yuri is very nice and welcoming.
Yuri's place is cozy and very well located. It's full of natural light, and has plenty of space for relaxing and working. We cooked many dinners in his kitchen and especially enjoyed the espresso machine! He also has a great collection or art and design books that were lovely to peruse. Thanks, Yuri!
Yuri decided to stay 2 more days in my apt and, as I told in the other review, he has been a perfect guest!!
Def def def recommended!! :) Yuri has been such a nice guest and really a nice person! He left the bedroom and the place in perfect condition and he didn't cause any problem. I look forward to host him again! :)
