Great location/facility, terrible customer service. I requested sheets and other items three times with no response over the course of a weekend stay. The most disturbing problem was the lack of a shower curtain which allowed water to pool in the bathroom. As I am five months pregnant, I did not appreciate having to deal with the risk of slipping and falling, and I am sure Temple University would not want to deal with the aftermath of an accident.
The wireless internet speed was very low. The water pressure was spotty during high usage periods. The kitchen was small and the sink was very shallow and small so water was splashing on the floor often. Otherwise it was functional and rRan took care of any problem I told him about.
I needed a last minute accommodation for labor day weekend, so I ended up staying at this place. The posting isn't very descriptive, but basically, this is in a student apartment complex near Temple University. I really liked that it was in a secure building. We received an electronic key and an electronic access card to get into our room.
Temple area isn't the ritziest area in Philadelphia; however, it is well connected to bus and metro lines to get you around the city. Permit-free street parking is available, and I never had any problem finding a space within a few blocks of the apartment building.
The room is a studio apartment. It is pretty bare and sort of has an industrial look to it. Chances are though, if you are in Philly, that you will be spending more time out the room than in it. Ryan will provide you with sheets. There is a kitchenette in the room with a microwave, electric range, and mini-fridge, but no kitchen supplies are provided. We found the mini-fridge really useful for leftovers and chilled beverages. The WiFi in the building is pretty slow, but unless you are a student at Temple, you will not be able to get WiFi anywhere else nearby.
Ryan was in touch with me to make sure my stay was going well, so don't hesitate to contact him if you need anything! He was very pleasant, helpful, and accessible!
