Our stay was simply amazing from start to finish. Rebecca, the house manger, was by far the most accommodating and communicative individual I have dealt with, in my three years using airbnb. She sent us local tour information, then offered to arrange our tours, which we accepted very happily, everything went very smoothly. Rebecca even arranged for us to be picked up at the Quepos airport, and then later allowed us to checkout at 2pm instead of 11am, so that we didn't have to be in limbo somewhere waiting for our flight back. In sort, Rebecca really I enhanced our trip! The house itself is amazing! The layout is ideal for the climate, has very comfortable lounging areas, great for seeing wildlife, due to being surrounded by lush jungle, the kitchen is great for cooking, and the pool was so refreshing and great for swimming, so much so that some days it was hard to leave the house! The washer and dryer were also very convenient, as well as the sweet maid whom cleaned the house twice a week and gardner whom picked us fresh grapefruit and oranges from the property's amazing fruit trees. He even pointed out monkeys to us in the trees. The location of the house is also very ideal, tucked away while still being very close to small stores, and just a 10 minute walk to a decent grocery store, and just a bit farther to a bank. There are serval restaurants and a bus stop that are very close too. The beach is only a 10min bus ride, or taxi ride away. We didn't have a car and never regretted not having one. It was very easy to get around. We couldn't have asked for a better spot for our 9 day vacation.
Villa Tekla was amazing!!! It was a beautiful open air house right in the middle of nature. We got to see white face monkeys and a sloth right in the back yard! Not to mention the iguana who lives under the pool (which is fantastically warm). The house is centrally located in Manuel Antonio, not even 10 minutes from the public beach and park! Also Playa Beisanz is a must see!
Rebecca was fantastic! She gave us a few ideas of where to eat and what tours to take, I HIGHLY recommend the Chino Mangrove your and request Alex as your guide! You get to see white face monkeys up close as well as feed them! Alex is super informative and is a blast!
Def would stay here again if I was to visit the area.
Would not recommend for light sleepers. The mornings can be loud if you hate waking up to birds, howler monkeys, etc.
It was a great pleasure having the energetic and friendly Bill & Tekla stay in my place! they left the apartment clean and in perfect conditions! also with a bills book as a gift! thank you for this!! I'm happy to hear they enjoyed everything. Thanks again! Manel
