Our stay at Nanda's was wonderful. It is in a great location, right on the water. You fall asleep to the sound of waves. It was easy to find and Nanda was very helpful. We would recommend it highly.
Nanda's beach house is a little slice of paradise. Miles of beaches in every direction, a fantastic yard and view. The downstairs portion of the house sleeps 6 very comfortably, and with the added bathroom and shower outdoors it really is very comfortable for a large group. We had the pleasure of meeting Nanda on our first night (she had to leave town) and her assistant Yvette was always nearby and checked in on us daily, just when we seemed to have a question about local foods or amenities. The people in this part of the world are some of the friendliest and most helpful anywhere, we just fell in love with Aguada and the Puerto del Sol. Thank you Nanda for opening up your home to us and we would love to come back some day soon!
Try: Guayabo Sunset Grill, which you can reach by the beach or road by heading west. Rent a surfboard in Rincon. Join some locals for a beach party at the public beach. Grab some local tap beer at Bros Brewery which is also a short walk west on the main road. Get a delicious BBQ chicken on the main road (before lunchtime when he runs out). Lily (?) down the road offers spa services and massages (we didn't get a chance to try but wish I did), Yvette has her number. Great shopping if there is a local festival, with artisan jewelry and hand made toys for the kids. Pina coladas and empanadillas forever. And don't be shy to try your Spanish, everyone speaks Spanglish anyway so you can switch to English when you get stuck!
We had a great experience at Nanda's house this year. The house caretaker was waiting for us when we arrived, and provided all the info we needed for our stay. Even though we had 11 guests, we never really felt cramped, as the space was plenty large to accommodate. The location is really nice: when the tide was low we were able to swim right on the beach below the yard, and the quick drives to Rincon made for easy afternoon trips to see different scenery for a bit. The sole area of frustration was the wifi. Only a few folks can be on at a time, so people were turning their wifi on and off the whole trip trying to find the balance that would allow for another person to get access.
Just got back from an incredible 8-day stay at Nanda's house. Nanda and Yvette (the local housekeeper) are the kindest and most accommodating hosts you could possibly ask for. They were willing to host myself and 10 friends (all college students) for Spring Break, which is no easy task, but everyone kept in touch and was crystal clear about expectations so the process was super smooth. They also came by the house to personally welcome us, give suggestions for things to do on our trip, and see us off. Overall, it was a terrific experience!
The house itself is ideal for large groups - there are mostly bedrooms along two main corridors, with 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms, and small common areas attached. This means that there's not a terrific amount of room to hang out in the house, but you'll want to spend most of your time outside anyway, as the house has a huge lawn overlooking the ocean, a charcoal BBQ, and picnic tables capable of seating large crowds (15+) for dinner and drinks with ease. There's also an outdoor bathroom, shower, and hose which makes coming back from the beach a bit cleaner.
In short, this house made for the perfect spot for a large group to hang out and enjoy this beautiful, natural beach area. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a PR vacation!
My stay at Nandas place so much greater than I expected.
Not only the house is a gem. But the hospitality and friendliness of Nanda and Yvette (the housekeeper) and were unbelievable.
In addition I was lucky and the only guest at that time so I basically had the whole house almost for myself which was awesome.
After a long day surfing I prepared my meals in the big kitchen which includes everything you may need for cooking. I relaxed on the super big and cosy veranda and slept in a very comfortable bed.
The neighborhood is very quiet and safe (I didn't even lock the door sometimes). The only thing you will here is the ocean. I loved it and definitely would come again!
This house is in a great location. You can have breakfast right next to the beach under the gazebo, lounge in the hammock on the porch or walk down the beach to closest restaurant and bar. We had a fantastic time.
Nanda has a wonderful house right on the beach. Very comfortable, relaxing, and convenient to all the highlights of Rincon and beyond. Nanda is a lovely host, and has great suggestions on local spots to make any trip memorable. Looking forward to a return visit soon.
Nanda's House is truly Epic. She was a gracious host to our large party, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great trip. We liked the place so much we extended our stay 3 extra days!
The stay at Nanda's was great! You couldn't ask to be closer to be ocean. The rooms were clean and the Nanda and Evi were extremely helpful. It's only a short drive to Rincon, but there are a few restaurants very close and a great little bakery in walking distance. I'll come back for sure!
We stayed at the beachfront apartment for two nights in January. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is close to grocery/ restaurants/ attractions.
The house was clean and our stay was comfortable.
I would recommend this apartment.
