Everything was great. The house is clean and spacious, and Lauren was very responsive. The fireplace and heat make this a good year-round option.
We had a wonderful stay. The house is much bigger than we had even expected, and it was perfect for our family of three. The location was perfect and easy to find. It is close to beaches and the nature preserve, and the neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. We had a great time grilling out every night on the deck while our toddler played out there with us. This house is a great choice if you have little kids - it had many little childproof touches, like a fenced-in yard, covers on some outlets, and a gate on the deck. Everything was clean and nice, except the floors in some parts of the house were a little gritty, but that may just be the nature of a house in a beachy/wooded area. Beware - wifi/cell service was very spotty here - I had planned to do some work but wasn't able to connect all the time.
We had a great stay. Location was centrally located to all that shelter island has to offer. House was clean, pool was fun for the kids.
Gorgeous house with tons of character and space to spread out. The most enormous outside deck to cook and eat dinner or hang out and read with steps down to a secluded pool. Wonderful stay and great host. Shelter Island is amazing and we cannot wait to go back.
Nice place and nice host. Recommended.
Lauren was a very accommodating host; Shelter Island was awesome with plenty of nice beaches and very accessible. We had a great time and looking forward to going back!
Lauren's house is adorable. I was there for a week working to do some writing and relax and it was incredibly cozy. It was a little too cold to use the pool, but I loved breakfast on the deck in the morning. I'd definitely come back.
