The stay at the house was very pleasant. It is centrally located to everything. The house is just as pictured. Don is a great host and is available if you need anything.
Dan was a very accommodating host, letting myself and two roommates stay at his place. He was even able to get us an extra bed on very short notice. The home itself is well located, and has a very nice back yard. Would easily stay with Dan again. Thanks!
Met at the apartment on arrival and showed around. Super central location, easy access to everything!
The pictures on the site are very accurate but the space is actually a bit larger than comes across in the pictures. Lots of space to relax and unwind after long days out and about.
Great hosts-- they were very responsive in the booking process and when we needed to request a later check out than normal.
Will book with them again for sure!
We stayed a week in this apartment and it was wonderful. Huge, spacious, very clean. The wifi was perfect. Could not find a better location. Between Ben Yehuda Street and the Old City, a block from Mamilla Mall and the light rail. Absolutely perfect. Plus, a small grocery store just around the corner, McDonalds and Pizza Hut about 1/2 mile (if that). Loved every minute of our stay.
Perfectly liveable but don't expect European standards. The apartment's biggest asset is its central location with a 24/7 supermarket just round the corner. However, the apartment wasn't really clean (you wonder why you pay cleaning fees), electric wiring sticks out of the wall in the bedroom (so watch out with children), the shower door was broken...
Apart from these, it took us three days before we could use the internet: Dan gave us the wrong name of the network (of which there are many in the building) and every time we complained that the password didn't work he gave us another (kept emails to proof this). In the end we found out ourselves by trying different combinations. Anyway, the wifi isn't strong enough to use (website hidden) etc. One morning we didn't have hot water and also no heating since the start of our stay (which would have been great to dry our shoes and clothes from the heavy rain). We got a reply how we can get the hot water going but wondered why for a start there wasn't a list in the apartment with heating and water instructions, with the EXACT name of wifi-network and password, etc. It would have been so much easier instead of finding wifi somewhere in the city and sending an email to Dan to ask. As he lives in Los Angeles that usually meant waiting a day for a reply. We also found out that the combination lock at the entrance door accepts several different combinations! Apart from these issues we still had a great time though!
This stay was our first Airbnb experience so we were uncertain of what to expect. The apartment is in an ideal location. Walking distance to most everything in Jerusalem. We never met Dan, our host, as he apparently lives in Los Angeles. When we arrived the apartment was not too inviting - very cold and dark. The outside strewn with broken yard furniture and leaves. A key was left for us under a bucket outside. After about 60 minutes someone from the 'rental company' came over to answer questions and operate the heat. They were appropriate and responsive. Very nice inside but interior renovations are not yet complete. Still large hole in the ceiling where a light is to be installed, in the bathroom several other holes in the wall board for future instillations. The building is also under renovation (some upper units gutted) but no construction was ongoing when we were there. We slept 4 there with the pull out couch which was reasonably comfortable but quite low to the ground - best suited for children. After the renovations are complete and with a bit more attention to making the apartment more inviting (hospitality and outward appearance) it can become an ideal location
Dan was a wonderful host. I was there for an outpatient surgery recovery stay and was extremely comfortable in his very clean home. Everything was ready to go when we arrived and his handyman even helped us unload our suitcases and groceries. The neighborhood was very quiet and we slept great. We had a minor problem with his washer leaking, but he immediately offered a $100 refund for the robe & pants that were ruined which completely took care of it. Dan was always available to make sure everything was going good. I will definitely be staying there again when I visit Los Angeles again. Thanks to you and your father for your hospitality Dan! :)
My family was very satisfied with our stay in this apartment. The location could not be better. We were a short walk from the Old City- Jaffa Gate. The neighborhood is pleasant and had many restaurants, art shops, grocery stores, and coffee shops. There was a parking lot directly across the street from the apartment that we were able to use (pay- lot). My family of 5 was very comfortable staying here for the week, and we would consider renting it again.
The reservation was canceled 9 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This apartment is SUPER convenient in terms of location and distribution!! Would highly recommend to any families or group of friends going to Jerusalem to use this. Dan himself was fantastic too! We had problems arriving from Egypt and thus had delays in getting to Jerusalem on time. Dan and his father were very helpful and flexible and allowed us to change the dates at the last minute without any penalties. Luckily the apartment was available too! Thanks Dan!
A quick note to travellers to Israel - arriving on a Friday afternoon or Saturday in Israel, can prove problematic because of many things being closed for Sabbat, so plan carefully and co-ordinate your arrival well.
