I'm an artist and educator spending my time between New York City and the magical Hudson Valley where I go to recharge and think.

Jane's house was true to its pictures. Clean, comfortable and spacious. The location was perfect for a wedding we were attending at A Private Estate and was only 10 min away from Clermont State Park (so we were able to get in a nice nature walk before the ceremony).
I would definitely recommend this house.

Jane was so very helpful & provided all important details in advance. The place is in a pristine, beautiful and very private natural environment. Quite the gem!! We loved our stay.
Jane's place suited us for our brief stay in Columbia County perfectly. Modest, clean house on a lovely piece of property. Thanks!
Perfect! Everything we wanted and needed in an absolutely lovely setting.
Thanks for your hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay. Jennifer (property manager) was very accommodating when I spoke with her on the phone. The stargazing was truly exceptional.
We had a lovely stay at Jane's place. It was everything we needed; a quiet, beautiful, relaxing piece of heaven in the Hudson Valley. Although we did not meet Jane in, her hospitality made our short stay easy and interesting. She had great recommendations for a local bakery and gourmet grocery store as well as farm stands in the area. The most breathtaking moment for us was watching the stars and figuring out different constellations. It is truly an amazing stargazing spot!

We didn't spend a lot of time in the house, but it was comfortable, nicely situated, and met our needs completely. Thank you, Jane, for hosting us!
My girlfriend and I actually lived in this house for most of the past year, prior to it going up on Airbnb. Jane is a wonderful, friendly, responsible owner. She keeps the property in tip-top shape. Really, there is absolutely nothing you have to worry about staying at her house.
As for the house itself, I have to say, I was devastated to leave. Its look from the outside is a bit deceptive, but the house is actually extremely open, spacious, and warm inside. The rooms are all comfortable. The kitchen is big and great for dinner parties. And two full bathrooms makes it great when you have a group of people staying over -- no lines! There is also a fantastic, giant back deck off the living room, and a grill for cooking out.
The real magic of this place is the property as a whole. The house is set back about 100 yards from the road (and the only two houses that are nearby). The 2-acre yard is extremely private -- there is literally no way for any neighbors to see you in most of the yard. So if you're really looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place to do it -- nobody will bother you, ever.
Aside from that, the house is located just a 5 minute drive from Cleremont, which is a beautiful historic park on the Hudson River, and 10 minutes to Germantown. The surrounding properties are all farms and cute country houses. It's a scenic as it gets.
Like I said, I didn't want to leave. I'm guessing you won't either.
