Hi I'm Chris. I'm an American now residing in Austin, TX. I've also lived in Boston, New York, Hong Kong and Chicago. I like to run, mountain bike, cross-country ski and travel.
Had a very enjoyable weekend stay. Chris was quick to respond to my initial email and was able to accommodate me under short notice. Arrangements were simple and straight forward.
His space is bright, clean and spacious. Enjoyed the ability to step out on the balcony and enjoy the fresh air and hum of the city.
This was a premium selection for me, and was satisfied I received my monies worth.
It was a pleasure staying here. We loved the location and Chris was very flexible with the checkout time. I would definitely love to stay here again.
The best aspect of this apartment is location. A few steps to the Central Mid Level Escalators.
13th floor – windows are overlooked by surrounding apartments.
Facilities were functional. It is a bit of a bachelor’s pad. Description overstates the furnishings. Tiny 70's style bathroom with small pink bath with a shower curtain. A heads up which should be in the description – shower is a shower rose over a bath - there is no walk in shower. Also galley kitchen was tired and a bit untidy.
Sleep value is good - big tick for the quality white bed linen and a quiet location. Honest, decent, friendly host.
Summary – reasonable accommodation, nothing special.
Compared to great deals in the new hotels in HK - did find this overpriced at USD $145 a night. .
Chris is a perfect host. Low-key yet very friendly and helpful, providing you with all the information needed for a Hong Kong stay. The flat is furnished very tastefully, is spotlessly clean and includes high quality bed linen. I also loved the location, just steps from the mid-levels escalator. I'm happy to recommend Chris' flat to any HK visitor.
There's nothing wrong with Chris's place and a lot that is great about it. It is indeed superbly located if you are interested in quick access to most of the city's points of interest. Moreover, it's right next to the Mid-Level escalators that take you directly to central and are lined with good restaurants and bars.
The apartment is clean, quiet and Chris was a friendly host, albeit for just a moment. He was out the door for a trip to Europe after an easy orientation and some small talk so my friend Patrik and I enjoyed the place for ourselves. One of us took the comfortable bed while the other was comfortable enough on the couch or the twin-size mattress that Chris has for use if needed.
I definitely recommend Chris's place if you are hoping to have a relaxing home base with very easy access to Central, and thus also pretty easy access to the rest of HK.
I had a fantastic stay here! The apartment was clean and lovely, and the location was perfect. Chris was a great host, very welcoming! Will definitely come back!
We had a perfect weekend! House is gorgeous, the lake is right down the mountain, and we felt like we were really staying in a country farmhouse. Can't wait to come stay again! Only one warning...be aware that you may not get cell phone reception, as the house is pretty remote.
We were family of 6 and initially planned to stay at this place for 2 nights however our plans changed when we reached there. There were many reasons behind it and the main being that this place is 1 hour drive from the Lake George Village area (main attraction area where you find parasailing, boating, cruise, plenty of shops and other activities). The place was very secluded and isolated. The closest grocery shop was about 20 mins to half an hour drive from the house. The house itself was nice and clean inside but overall secluded and far from main attraction area of Lake George as it was at the very top/north-east side of the lake.
The condo was very pleasant to stay in. It was like staying in a hotel, except with a fully appointed kitchen. The building staff was very friendly, and the location was convenient to the subway, shops and restaurants. We were even able to park right in front of the building. Chris was kind enough to provide us with a Zagat guide with several bookmarks in it. We would definitely stay again.
Stayed here for two nights over a memorial day weekend. Very impressed with the apartment, including the lay out, decor, etc. Lovely place to stay for one or two people, only a couple of blocks from the subway, restaurants, cafes, etc. Prospect park is quite close too. Chris is a great host, easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. Highly recommend staying here, especially if you're OK with being outside of Manhattan.
Chris was a low maintenance pleasurable guest. We hope he enjoyed his sevens weekend and wish him all the best! Recommend.
Chris is the perfect guest. Nice, easy going, organised, clean, serious. I would be happy to host him again and recommend him and his girlfriend to any airbnb host.
Chris was very nice and easygoing guest.
Chris and his lovely girlfriend were a pleasure to have stay with us- easy going, polite and very respectful of the apartment. Chris kept in constant contact as to his arrival times and movements which was very helpful. They were out a lot exploring and left the room very clean and tidy. We would love to have them stay anytime!
It was both an honour and a little nerve-wrecking to host a 'veteran' Airbnb-er. We had the pleasure of having Chris stay with us for one night. It was a shame that it couldn't be longer as he seemed like a really nice person, and we would've loved to take him around and give him a more thorough experience of HK. As a guest, he was well-mannered and polite, and left the room in the same state that he had arrived in. We look forward to meeting him again, in HK, in NYC, or another part of the world.
We at Sundaram's are very honored to have received Chris and his family as guests in our B&B.
It was a pleasure spending time exchanging ideas and within a few hours it felt like having members of our extended family stay with us.
We highly recommend them. Very gracious guests.
Chris was an undemanding guest, and was a pleasure to host. As host himself, he was very kind in his attention to leaving the room clean and tidy.
If he is back in HK on a stopover, it would happily accommodate him again.
Chris is a clean, well mannered, and very friendly guy who loves the outdoors, traveling, and a great resource for anything NYC.
