The apartment is definitely very pretty and very tastefully decorated- it is extremely well located especially for first time visitors as it is within waking distance to pretty much everything important to see for a first timer, which is probably why it is on the pricier side. Livia was very responsive previous to our trip and the check in took place without any issues. We really enjoyed our stay there, it's a lived in apartment so if you're looking for a sterile clean hotel like place, it's not it - it's a very well equipped place that is actually used by people and you can sense life in it. A plus for the heating, being extremely sensitive to cold and familiar with lacking Italian heating system, I was pleasantly surprised to see the apartment remained well heated despite the abnormally low temperatures rome experienced for a few days in dec. finally The living area is so cosy we really enjoyed hanging out in it late in the evening when we came back to the apartment.
Livia was very easy to communicate with and her apartment was amazing. Heaps of space, cool interior deco and looks better than the pictures! Also, location is perfect - we walked everywhere and didn't use public transport once. Highly recommend.
Parfait en tous points... l'appartement, le quartier, l'accueil... Merci...
We loved every single detail of our stay at Livia's gorgeous penthouse apartment! Before we even arrived, Livia was so responsive with communications and helpful with directions from the train station to the apt. We arrived about 10-15 minutes later than scheduled and Livia was super accommodating, and showed us all the amenities of the place and answered all our questions. She really made us feel so comfortable and at ease instantly! If we come back to Rome, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
The apartment itself is beyond description. The place is simply GORGEOUS. It's super spacious, filled with light, and has been impeccably furnished/designed. My husband and I were so sad to leave Rome and esp. this beautiful home! We even cooked at the apartment a couple of nights - all the dishes, cutting boards, olive oil etc. is easily available, as is a sizable supermarket a couple of blocks away. The place is on the top floor (10 flights of stairs) of a beautiful historic bldg with a small elevator that can accommodate 2 people (or 1 person with luggage) and has such lovely views of Roman rooftops from all the large windows.
The location: PERFECT for a short stay in Rome - you can walk to everything from here! Just a couple blocks behind the Pantheon, on a charming side street. 10 min walk to Piazza Navona, the Colosseum, 15 minute walk to Monti and the Trevi fountain.
Grazie mille Livia!
Livia and her mother Sonia make a great team. They were welcoming, considerate, kind, friendly, informative, and responsive. The apartment is on the first floor (not the ground floor) and there is a lift. It is a rather small apartment, consisting basically of two rooms and a bathroom, with a tiny kitchen area. If three people stay there for any length of time, two of them probably should be sleeping together and they all should be good friends. But it is a neat, clean, nicely appointed little place, and the porch is wonderful, as the picture indicates. It catches the morning light, which comes into the apartment through large glass doors that provide access from each room to the porch. We sat out there every morning, planning the day's activities, and every evening before going to bed. The neighborhood is quiet, considering that it's just a couple of blocks away from Place de la Nation, with a handful of decent places to eat in the immediate vicinity and - this being Paris - many more choices within an easy walk. It's not an upper class neighborhood by any means, but it is a pleasant one, a bit on the funky shabby side. There's a wine bar that seems to be very popular with local twenty somethings just a couple of doors down, and two artisan boulangeries within a hundred yards, and a laundromat, and a grocery store - pretty much everything the traveler could need is right at hand. For collectors of expensive Korean dolls, there's a store that sells them just down the block. I'm not such a person, but it was fun to stop in and chat with the clerk. The price for all of this was very reasonable when I stayed there with my daughter in late September 2014. I would not hesitate to book this apartment again on my next visit to Paris, if it were available.
The apartment was in a great location and very near many remarkable Paris historical landmarks. The accommodations were adequate. The bed in the bedroom should be replaced because it slants towards the middle and it is difficult for two people to get a good night's rest. There is also a very large stain on the ceiling in the bedroom as if something leaked from above that needs painting. The bath is very small and it was difficult to use the shower head for shampoo of our hair.
My stay in Livia's apartment was perfect. We got delayed at the airport and arrived at the apartment way later than expected. Still she was flexible enough to accommodate us. Her assistant greeted us and give us a tour in the apartment.
The place was as described and provided the circumstances for us to have a great experience!
We enjoyed our stay in Livia's apartment. Was very easy to find from the metro and there are great places to explore in this neighborhood. Although there was plenty around, it was a quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed relaxing on the terrace (between rain showers).
Much more spacious than a hotel room and great value for the location!
Livia was very helpful in coordinating our stay. We were greeted by her housekeeper who let us into the building. Although she didn't speak english, we felt an immediate rapport and she guided us carefully around the place. Our stay was fantastic. We loved Livia's place. The location is great, just around the corner from the Pantheon. The main bed was very comfortable and the two couches were nice as well. Highly recommended.
Chris was very respectful and clean guest, easy the communications was really easy. I would definitely host him and his family again!
