Brian arrived at my place and because of a late check out it had not been cleaned yet. Our cleaners were able to get there shortly after he arrived and got the place clean. Brian was very unhappy and was not afraid to express his feelings over phone calls and texts. He contacted Airbnb and my account was then frozen. Yes, the apartment was dirty when he arrived but as hosts there are sometimes unforeseen events that take place (like a guest not checking out on time) that cause a place not to be cleaned in time. I thought we had a nice recovery and got it cleaned shortly after Brian checked in. The Airbnb community is for people that understand that we as hosts and guests are all helping each other out and understanding when things don't always go exactly as planned. This isn't a big box Marriott or Hilton hotel experience. There needs to be a mutual respect and understanding between hosts and guests in the Airbnb community.
