Ok, let's go! Don't really know where to start and put down here, so here goes! I'm a native San Antonian, but I worked and lived abroad for several years after I graduated from university. I am a news editor and freelance Russian-English translator. Formerly, I worked as a news reporter--scouring the streets and press conferences of Moscow for stories--but now I prefer my much quieter editing life, which allow me more flexibility.
My career in news has taken me to some interesting places--Siberia, Caspian Sea, oil fields in Kazakhstan--but most of my traveling has been for pleasure. I have been to 29 countries and I am only 27 years old. In my free time, I like going to comedy clubs, art exhibitions, museums. Other pursuits include reading (world literature), playing board games, and walking outdoors.
I love to prepare food for friends, mostly American and Asian dishes, but I also prepare a few Russian dishes. When I am a guest, I try to tidy up after myself and leave places just as I found them. "Take only pictures, leave only memories."
