Great localization, but flat not so nice. Not that clean and photos nothing close to reality. Having the showers outside not a real problem, but I was really disapointed overall.
Plus; very nice street, cafe's fresh bread, food, it is all there. Flat is nice and quiet, almost no neighbours you can hear. Exellent shower despite the fact that it is a couple of doors further down the street. Nice walk to city center but even better to rent bikes. In all good value for money.
Minus; some softdrugs selling in the street that seems to make the police more nervous than me.
I presume Kapser is saving up for new bed linnen and for better beds.
Kasper answers all mails quickly and was most helpful when we wanted to move the dates. He left a few beers in the fridge which is always nice.
The street is awesome, with cool bars, restaurants and very hip shops. There is also a huge playground for the kids at the end of the street.
The apartment though is very 'run down' and does not really match the pictures on airbnb. The stove and tv didn't work.
The pluses: great neighborhood, nice street, small but clean and cosy flat, very good bargain for a week in July.
The minuses: the main sleeping room needs a revamp, TV and oven were not working at the time of our stay, the kitchen contains minimal equipment, and we had not realized that there was no bathroom in the flat (one has to use the collective bathroom some 100 meters away in the street - no problem with that, you get used to it once you find out how it works and turn your eyes away from the loose hair that regularly obstructs the showers' plughole).
Had an amazing time on Jægersborggade; Kasper was hugely helpful and informative, and the area is sublime for anyone interested in being around young people doing interesting things. I only regret having spent most of my days and nights heading toward center city, instead of just chilling at the bars and cafes right around the apartment. The nearby Assitens Cemetery provided constant, sunny respite from the welcome bustle of the city outside. There are bike rental places all around (you must rent a bike when you're in Copenhagen), and plenty of grocers within easy striking distance. The fact that the bathroom is outside of the apartment shouldn't scare you off -- highly recommended.
Very nice experience, all worked out beautifully :)
It was an absolutely pleasant stay at Kasper's place he was super responsive and the place was super cool. The only down side is the fact that the place does not have a bath or shower inside the unit and you have to use a common one two buildings away. Warm water shuts off every 3 minutes but it's not big of a deal.
Overall everything went according to what's described.
kasper is a great host he is quick to respond. And will do his best to accomodate. Id recommend this place to others. He was so sweet to have left a bottle of italian red wine which was one of my high lights the wine was delicious.
The beds are adequate if you're on a budget it suits nicely. Pillows could do with a replacement. However overall for somewhere to rest its perfect.
The only bother was the showers which are in a separate unit that you have to swipe using a (website hidden) sure to have somebody teach you how to use it properly or you could be with a cold shower.
The street is lined with great cafe culture, trendy neighbourhood to be in, plenty of choices for salads cakes and games at cafes esp if rainy day. Down the road is a michelin star restaurant and across from it they have a rustic restuarant slightly cheaper that serves a 7 course degustation thats fantastic, great if you're a vegetarian also.
Nearby is a beauitufl cemetery park great for stroll... its well maintained and would appear to be like a garden park. Not too far away is bar and pubs as well.
We had a brilliant stay in a great location in Copenhagen. Met kind and friendly people with great chat in some of the surrounding bars, ate lovely bread from the bakers down the road and indulged in some delicious brunches. Lots of fun! Highly recommended. Flat is as described. Copenhagen has quite a short time of darkness at night in the summer, so if you need complete darkness to sleep bring an eye mask or something ;) A good base for exploring Copenhagen x
