Gili's flat is very well located, not even 2 mn from Mahane Yehuda - the market where you can find anything fresh! - 10 mn walk from the Jaffa Gate and so the Old city, 5mn to Ben Yehuda and close to a tram station. You can even go to the central bus station by foot.
The area is closed to numerous restaurants, bars and shops ; everything is walking distance.
The flat is lovely and sunny and situated in an alley so it's really calm.
Gili was extremely flexible in term of check-in and out, and even if she was abroad during a part of our stay, she was always reachable for any questions.
Communication before and during our stay was absolutely perfect.
We would definitively stay there for our next trip and we highly recommend it.
Centrally located, refurbished building. 2 floor walk-up on a quiet walking street in Nachlaot, close to the Shuk and Ben Yehuda and Jaffa St. Close to Old City and close to numerous bus lines and the light rail. Good value. Good A/C in every room. Decent kitchen, with microwave, fridge, and 2-burner stovetop. Rather sparse furnishings--comfortable beds, but only 3 chairs in the whole place. Tiny, tiny (did I mention tiny?) shower, but I fit inside--warning to overweight people--but good water pressure and good hot water after the solar heater kicks in later in the afternoon. I'd stay here again, largely because of the location and the good value for the money. Host (Gili) was very helpful, as was her dad. Gili was out of town, but communication was excellent.
Gili was very flexible and helpful, since I booked her place last minute, checked in early, and had to check out late. She is also well traveled.
The apartment is very central, in a good neighborhood of Jerusalem. A big plus was the wash machine in the apartment! There are also 2 bathrooms: one on each level.
Those with limited mobility should note that the apartment is located in an alley, inaccessible to cars. It's also a 2 flight walk up. Once in the apt you must climb another flight of stairs to get to the bedroom. However, if you're young, or old but fit (like me); this is no problem.
One potential problem is that the apt has no curtains and the sun can be strong from 5am on. I used a sleep mask, which allowed me to sleep later into the morning.
I stayed four nights and highly recommend Gili's apartment!

Excellent apartment. Well equipped. Centrally located to all amenities, such as the main bus station, the market where we were buying every day fresh fruit and vegetables, many restaurants and shops, the Old City and other interested places to visit in Jerusalem. We did not use the public transport as everything was within the walking distance.
Gili was a good person to deal with. As she was away at the time of our arrival and during our stay in Jerusalem, she gave us the contact numbers of her farther and friend, who met and welcomed us. Everything was great and we enjoyed your apartment. Thank you, Gili.
My husband and I had a great time in Jerusalem, and staying in Gili's apartment played a big part. The location was ideal --- just a few moments from the busy, noisy, wonderful market and with excellent access to streetcar and busses, but tucked away on a quiet, clean "street" (more of an alley -- no cars) that really allowed us to feel the neighborhood. We found everything we needed in the apartment, and Gili gave us all the contact information we needed for her family and friends. We were only sorry that we didn't meet Gili herself. Hopefully, on the next trip.....Thanks, Gili!
Très sympathique à recommander fortement.
I enjoyed having Gili as my guest. She's a wonderful, intelligent and outgoing woman. She's easy to talk with, smiley and polite. She was also clean, tidy and respectful. I can definitely recommend her as a guest.
Gili was a nice & respectful guest, she left the apartment unclean but was unaware that I do not charge cleaning fees...
Gili visited our house in Switzerland with her parents, her 2 sisters and her brother over a period of 7 nights. It was a great pleasure hosting Gili and her family! A great family with a great spirit! We had great discussions and they brought us even nice gifts from Israel. They were very trustful and treated the house carefully; we had a great time together. I can recommend Gili (and her familyI) to all of you and would be very plesaed hosting or meeting them again!
