Semi retired owner of a one man handyman business.
Prior to my retirement in 2013, I was a metallurgist/process engineer, specializing in niobium and titanium for a major US specialty metals company. I've also worked in the semiconductor industry as a process integration engineer involved in manufacturing computer memory and imaging chips for cell phone cameras. My first career was as an Air Force officer specializing in R&D engineering.
I love, my beautiful wife of 31 years, hiking, biking, camping, traveling, flat water kayaking, Spain, the beach, mountains, woodworking and auto repair.
My wife is a pianist with a master's in piano pedagogy and loves classical music, gardening, hiking, biking, kayaking, the beach, mountains, traveling, Spain and me (Her only character flaw). She studied and taught flamenco for many years.
Yep, the fact that we've been married 31 years, means we're a bit older than 29. We are young at heart, fit and love adventures (The kinds that don't require helicopter rescue!)
We're on the conservative side, but don't expect everyone to be like us. We enjoy experiencing different cultures. We're not into raucous parties, but we do enjoy a glass of wine or a craft beer. We are nonsmokers - it's not a sin --it's just not for us.
And, given a choice, I'd never introduce myself with, "Hey, I'm Ernest ..."
