Nuwan's staff greeted us and were so welcoming.
They prepared the most delicious Sri Lankan meals for dinner, but also offered Western food (you won't be disappointed with the prawn curry and various side dishes!).
The king size bed was comfortable and the room is air conditioned. The pool area is really nice and private.
The villa is a short tuk tuk ride ($4, though we didn't negotiate).
Thanks for having us!
Our host wasn't on site. We had a problem in that the listing says bed and breakfast and our receipt said bed and breakfast but they wanted to charge us for breakfast. Calls to the owner were fruitless, though they did find a place buried down in the listing where breakfast isn't included.
Didn't feel like an AirBnB transaction.
The facilities are nice, though the fan clanked on each rotation unless it was set to low, tough with no mosquito nets. The staff couldn't be nicer. The beach is georgeous but it was unswimmable when we were there, current and whatnot.
Needs to clean up his listing.
We traveled as a family to Kandy and stayed at Swetha Villa. The room was spacious and could easily accommodate 3 people. Surroundings are lush green. Chef prepared good food especially sting-hoppers. Overall, they took great care of us. We would recommend this place fellow travelers.
However, swimming pool needs renovation as it is sinking on one side.
beautiful villa and nice thoughtful friendly people. The chef cooked delicious food for us.
The location is quite convinient if you drive. It takes about 5 minutes by car to the city centre and Kandy Lake. The staff is very friendly, good service. Breakfast is good. We have three adults and 1 kid, the room is spacious to accommodate 4 people. Overall a good experience.
This is a lovely home environment. We stayed for 2 nights. Our Hosts were extremely attentive and looked after us very well. We had the room pictured. It is a very pleasant room. Heaps of space. Very clean. A very comfortable bed. Although we were a couple, this house would be wonderful for family stays. Lovely garden and swimming poolWe had dinner one night. Lovely food and very good service. We were running about 45 minutes late and this was not a problem with the staff in providing dinner for us. I can highly recommend this property.
We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our 8 days Sri Lanka trip. The villa is spacious with lots of garden space. The rooms are big and so are the bathrooms. The place is comfortable and well located with only a quick tuk tuk ride to central Kandy. The staffs are very warm and try their best to look after us. Nuwan is also very responsive and friendly.
The areas for improvement: a fresh coat of painting inside and a change of lighting (yellow & brighter) would make the rooms look more luxurious. The water heating system needs to be fixed as it is either cold or burning hot...and the floor inside the shower can be very slippery when wet.
We had a very pleasant stay in this boutique villa. On arrival we were given a friendly welcome and shown to our room. Our room was spacious and very clean. It had wifi which was an added plus. The shower was lovely and warm also.We decided to have dinner at the Villa and it certainly exceeded our expectations. This villa has an excellent chef. The menu had ample choice and food was prepared to a high standard. The villa is approx ten minutes from kandy central and costs on average 250-300rs. I would highly recommend a stay in this boutique villa
We stayed for one night. The place is very nice and clean. Right on the beach with a beautiful view. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!
Not a good experience.
