Great location, helpful staff, and plenty of room. Perfect getaway from tourist crowds, and vwithin walking distance to empty beaches. Our family of 8 enjoyed the pool, surroundings, and authentic cooking from the friendly staff. We are definitely coming back.
We had the most wonderful family holiday at Norma's lovely villa. We brought together multiple families ranging from grandparents to toddlers from Mexico, Canada and the UK and the house was a perfect location to meet everyone's needs. The separate rooms with en suite bathrooms meant total privacy per family. The many hangout areas from private beach, shady cabanas, pool, upper family room with pool table and rooftop deck for sun-downers and star-watching meant that everyone had their own space as well as places to come together.
We highly recommend taking the option of having the fabulous cooking and support of Argely and Claudia who passed even the most critical cooking eye of the Mexican side of our family. Every day was a smorgasboard of pancake and fresh fruit breakfasts, fresh ceviche and avocado lunches to traditional Mexican dinners. They did the shopping, cooking and clearing up which allowed for a real holiday all round. They went above and beyond cooking special foods for the babies and organizing a whole birthday celebration for our one child complete with cake, pinata and balloons. Demonio was also fantastic in helping with the grounds, BBQ and supplying a constant round of fresh coconuts. We could not have felt more cared for, looked after and spoiled than if we had been in the Presidential suite of the 4Seasons!
We recommend the 4X4 to get in to the property but the road is not as difficult as everyone says. If you need to leave the villa - wonderful day trips to Sayulita and Punta Mita are highly recommended for surfing and stand up paddle. March had perfect weather - not too hot or humid and water that we could swim in in the ocean and pool for hours at a time. My husband and I ran almost every day in the mornings along the main beach and felt totally safe while barely seeing another person. The main beach is also great for swimming and boogy boarding although worthwhile going further down the beach for the less timid as currents and waves quite strong.
We have traveled the world from South Africa to South America and Punta Mita is one of our all time favorite places. This villa with its crashing waves, private beach and beautiful sunset views is a special place and we highly recommend it for a fabulous holiday - if you can book it. We already tried for book for December and March of next year and its taken already so get your dates in!
We had an amazing stay! There were 3 couples and the house was so spacious. I loved that the 3 master bedrooms all felt separate with their own bathrooms so each couple felt like they got their own suite. Norma was super helpful and very quick to respond to my laundry list of questions. We had Claudia come cook and thoroughly enjoyed the meals she made. If we come back, I would probably have her only make lunch and dinner as having heavy Mexican food for every meal was a bit much for our digestive systems!
Overall, awesome location, awesome price, awesome staff! Can't go wrong!
The house sits on this amazing cliff with an infinity pool and an amazing view. A cook came with the house, which made putting together breakfast, lunch and dinner for 10+ people very simple. The house was cleaned each day as well -- we really had nothing to worry about. We loved our stay!
We had a wonderful experience staying in this truly spectacular beach house. My three business partners and our spouses gathered for work and play. The huge outdoor table was perfect for all of us to spread out and work and dine together while enjoying the spectacular views and listening to the waves crash onto the private beach below.
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We hired Claudia and Argeli to pick up groceries for us and cook and they did a wonderful job. Demonio was kind and patient as he waited at the town entrance for three different car loads and brought us all in.
Norma was kind, gracious, communicative and helpful. It was the best Airbnb experience I've ever had. We all want to come back to this incredible house and area.
We just got back from a week trip to this amazing house. I can't say enough about how perfect our trip was, because of the wonderful staff and incredible house.
We definitely tested the limits of this house and the staff with our group of 4 families-- 9 adults, 4 toddlers and a baby. Even with the group that size, we did not feel cramped and the staff seemed to stay upbeat despite the chaos we brought. Each family had their own room, which provided a retreat from the lively common areas.
It is precisely how it looks in the pictures. Ocean views from nearly every spot. Spacious rooms, amazing windows, nice bathrooms. Wonderful large dining table for all meals alfresco. Modern kitchen. Comfortable lounging couch (for the rare moments you come indoors.) Beds were firm. Big beach towels rolled up in baskets, lounge chairs everywhere. The most breathtaking sunsets I've ever seen and whales popping out of the water all day. Great little beach to hunt for crabs and play in the sand. Swimming only for very experienced. Litibu beach is 2 min drive and great.
This is a remote spot. Its incredible how well Norma has created a 5 star experience in the middle of the nowhere, but the plumbing is sensitive and water is precious so you shouldn't expect new towels and sheets every day. The staff will get you anything you need anytime, but expect a clogged toilet and expect to ask to have your sheets changed.
You don't need 4 wheel drive, but next time I'd probably upgrade my car. We got the cheapest car and got a flat tire on the horrible speed bumps in town. Also beware of the prices for online car rentals. Dollar added $20/day for liability insurance when we picked up the car. What we thought was going to be a $60/week car rental was actually $230 once all was sorted.
Truly amazing. We had Claudia cook 3 meals/day. We really pushed her limits with our large group, but every day we'd wake up to fresh squeezed OJ, coffee and a full mexican breakfast. She'd even make the salsa from scratch in the morning! They shop and you pay them from the receipts. Claudia literally worked 10 hour nonstop days for us and so she really was the one person who made our trip so wonderful. (Please tip very generously. She deserves it!)
Demonio handles the grounds- he'll fix your clogged toilets, clean the pool, get you coconuts and papayas from the trees, sets up the fire pit so its ready to light every night.
Argeli cleans the house and helps Claudia. She'll get you anything you need from the house and connect you with Norma via phone if necessary.
Because of how remote it is, if Claudia and Argeli stay late to serve you dinner, you should expect to give them a ride up the dirt road to the town at the end of the night.
Norma was a generous and thoughtful host. Every step of our trip was carefully orchestrated by her to ensure we felt at home and enjoyed all Riviera Nayarit had to offer.
The privacy of the home and breathtaking views were only enhanced by the spectacular staff, keeping every room feeling fresh and the table full of delicious local food and drink.
Pro tips: Hire Norma's chef for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fill the house with friends and family. Rent a 4x4 for the private dirt road. Surf the local beaches. Book a sunset sailboat tour. Spend a day (and night) in Sayulita.
You can't go wrong :)
We had a wonderful stay at Norma's paradise (as we called it). The staff could not have been more helpful and Claudia makes the most delicious meals!
The setting is breathtaking - as gorgeous as the pics would have you believe - plus the 4 main bedrooms are huge with en-suites the size of a small apartment.
As Norma says the location is remote - about a 10min drive from the nearest town but you could easily spend the whole week swimming, surfing and eating with no need to leave.
If you do venture into Sayulita you'll find a cool hippie town with plenty of authentic experiences plus cute beach restaurants and a great beach to hang out on.
Also can not fault Norma for her amazing support and helpful tips and advice.

One last tip don't try and save money by flying into Guadalaraja - it's a long drive (5hrs +) and over a mountain range plus it's very tricky to find your way to the right freeway when you leave the airport. The journey from PV is very easy.
I'm not even sure I want to rate the place because I selfishly want to be the only person to know it exists. The place is perfect. If the only negative thing you can say is that there isn't a hose close by to rinse the sand off your feet, then you've got a pretty good idea of how amazing it is to stay in this home.
We only left to go surfing each day. Norma recommended a place for a lesson, but we ended up getting in touch with Wildmex first. We rented boards and they told us some good surf breaks to hit up. Otherwise, we lounged by the pool or beach all week.
1) Norma is super helpful, and all of the information she gave us made it easy to settle right in.
2) Claudia's cooking was delicious. We don't regret the decision to pay for her to be there AT ALL. She and Argele did all of the shopping and preparing and cleaning. It was tough getting used to at first, and I with the language barrier, it was extremely helpful that we had one person in out group who could communicate, but you could tell that they both are good people with a lot of warmth. I look forward to coming back and seeing them again.
3) Sitting in the pool and seeing a mama humpback and her calf playing in the ocean.
5) Sitting in bed and hearing the ocean, loud and clear.
6) The quick walk to the beach.
7) Seeing the stars.
8) Relaxing like crazy.
The title of this place wasn't lying -- it is, indeed, a Spectacular Beach Front House. We had a fantastic time. From the infinity pool to the private beach to the large bedrooms (with bathroom suites), it feels very, very luxurious. It was also great to be supported by such nice staff, like Demonio, who were very available whenever you couldn't find, say, the grill or needed something from the store.
A few notes. The house is somewhat hard to find, and on a dirt road, so it pays to invest in a rental car with a good suspension -- otherwise, you'll be feeling every bump. Also, having a Spanish-speaker with your group would be wise, as the town of Higuera Blanca isn't as tourist-y as Sayulita. (No shock there.)
Anyways, Norma is a fantastic host and this place is magical. Would come back in a heartbeat.
