From Victoria BC, love beautiful and comfortable places.
We LOVED staying at Patricias place. It's right on the water which is the best part, when you are napping you feel like you are on the beach. The waves are loud but once you get used to them they add so much serenity to the room. It's perfect for two. It's right on White Sands beach which is nice but we preferred a place another mile south that had a great snorkelling area with lots of turtles. It's on Alii drive which is fantastic if you like running. It's so close to kona town too which was amazing- we ate there every day and enjoyed going through the shops. Towels, games, snorkel gear, lawn chairs, maps etc were all there for us which helped a lot. The only downfall is that there is no wifi which sucks for people who aren't from the states because roaming is so expensive. The restaurant in the building has wifi which we ended up using a lot. I'd highly advise staying here for something affordable, low maintenance and romantically quaint.
My brother and sister in law stayed with Patricia for Thanksgiving weekend. They loved it. My other family members will now have a place to stay when they visit us here on the island. It's a one of a kind experience. We showed the place to my mom and dad too and they were also impressed :-)
I had a wonderful stay at the studio condo! It was right on the White Sands beach, which according to locals is one of the best public beaches right near Kona, and had an amazing ocean view. It's literally right on the water: it doesn't get better than sleeping with the windows open, waves crashing and waking up to a beautiful sunset each morning.
I stayed alone but would be perfect for a couple and we had plenty of room for my parents who came to visit a few times for dinner while we were all in town for the Ironman. The condo also has boogie boards, snorkles, some chairs, so no need to rent beach things during your stay - a nice, unexpected perk!
Only drawback was that there were a few ants and other bugs in the kitchen but to be expected in an open air condo so nothing that should discourage you from staying here.
For our 10th wedding anniversary, we wanted to stay in a place that reminded us of our honeymoon Villa outside Florence Italy. We found it in Patricia's home in Oak Bay BC! A stunning Mansion indeed!
Upon being shown our gorgeous suite we were sad we had only a couple of days to stay.
The king-sized bed was comfortable, the view from the suite was stunning. The many other rooms available to Patricia's guests including a music room, a conservatory, a library and of course the kitchen were so inviting we didn't know where to sit and enjoy the ambiance next.
A short walk to the Waterfront and to Restaurants and Shopping was nice too.
One of the loveliest things was being serenaded by a Guest Pianist in the Great Room below ours in the evenings. It was so special to us! Thank You! :-)
We highly recommend it to others. Forget the swanky Oak Bay hotels. Patricia's is so much better! We will be back.
the house is beautiful and up high so has a great view even of the water Patricia is vey nice she helped me with contacting my next host excellent area in Victoria found it very easy to get around with public transportation would stay there again
Very impressive residence. Stunning views. We found it quiet and comfortable. Close to public transport and local business district. Would recommend to others who don't mind being a little out of town.
Very nice (and somewhat eccentric) accommodation (i.e., historic mansion). Patricia was a delight. Great views from the bedroom windows. Quietly located in the Oak Bay district. A number of decent restaurants nearby. Ocean as well. I was on my bicycle and getting downtown took about 15 minutes. Bus routes right down the street. Would certainly stay there again if I were ever to be in Victoria again.
Amazing hostesses, gorgeous mansion, beautiful views. 5 minutes from awesome pubs and restaurants, a wonderful way to see Victoria!
The condo is gorgeous, very good location. Waves were little bit too loud to sleep with open slide doors, but i enjoyed it in mornings and evenings. A beach is very close to the condo, and there is some beach gear in condo, I could use. I saw a turtle on the beach next to the condo!!!
More than we expected. Exceeded our expectations. Accommodations wonderful. View spectacular. Location perfect.
I had Ann stay at my place for 5 days.We didn`t get a chance to meet but we had very good communication all along.
Great guests who are very welcome to visit again!
