Jennifer's house was so lovely and she was very helpful with ideas of what to do in the area. We had a wonderful weekend in the Berkshires.
The cottage was a good experience for our family of four. It was close to Butternut ski fields which was the sole purpose of our weekend. It was in a quiet location. The house was clean and warm and enjoyable.
This is the second time I have stayed at Mz. Terrell's Victorian Cottage. Not only is the place clean and cozy, but Mz. Terrell has been accommodating whenever there has been any need to make adjustments to our booking. I will likely seek her and her listing out whenever the next occasion arises.
Jennifer's place was fantastic and in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the screened in porch and were able to take advantage of the fall weather and have breakfast out there. Jennifer's taste in decorating is wonderful and added warmth to the house. The place was exactly as described and contributed in great part to a wonderful weekend.
The cottage is beautiful, clean and comfortable. We loved the decor. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels luxurious. The kitchen was well equipped. Contacting Jennifer and arranging our stay was real simple. We will definitely stay there again. The cottage is in a rural area, it is quiet and peaceful. There's a river right across the street and a children's playground next door. It was perfect for our toddler. There is also a cemetery across the street which I forgot about and stumbled into with my dog on his late-night walk. Spooky! (I have an over-active imagination). There was great food nearby. I highly recommend the Old Inn on the Green for a foodie experience ($$$$ and make a reservation) and the Southfield Store is perfect for fresh baked goods, sandwiches, salads and brunch. The cottage is not far from other little towns, parks and hiking trails but it's the kind of cozy place that makes you want to sip your coffee slowly. As mentioned in the description, we did find the second floor to be a bit chilly but Jennifer provided heaters for the bedrooms, as well as electric blankets (it wasn't cold enough for these).
The house was lovely and was clean and organized for our stay. Jennifer made sure to be in touch and notify us of all details. She was very responsive and easy to work with.
This was a perfect retreat in the Berkshires. We enjoyed the lovely kitchen, the veranda for great dinning. The rooms are nicely decorated and tidy, the double bedroom could have a queen, there is a lot of space, but we were fine. We missed some blind curtains in this room, but we are used to sleep in dark, so it is may be not a problem for everybody. Overall we were very satisfied, this house was a good break after days in hotels and motels. The area is very quiet, but not far from the nice villages and festivals..We would definitely stay there again.
Very nice host, jennifer was kind, helpful and accomodating in every way. The house is just perfect, surroundings same. Spacious rooms, cozy victorian style living room and kitchen well stocked. The porch is the topper of the house, together with the garden! Recommended!
Jennifer was a great host. Her communication was excellent. The house is amazing! The decorations are to die for and the kitchen is great to cook in. The screened-in porch was a great place to eat and relax. We traveled with my twin daughters and they loved running in the yard. My good friend's mom lives in the center of Mill River and said she has driven by the house many times and always loved it. When she visited the girls, she was amazed at how beautiful the house is inside and out. The house is located across from an historic cemetery, which is fun to walk in. There is even a stone of a woman who had five husbands!
There is a river behind the cemetery and you can hear it from the house which makes sitting outside even better. I hope we can stay here again the future. SOOO much better than staying at a hotel.
Loved our time at Jennifer's house. Lovely location from which to explore the Berkshires (and so convenient for the Gedney Farm wedding location!). Beautifully decorated house and Jennifer could not have been more helpful and attentive to questions/ issues. If you're in the area, stay here!
Jennifer made a great guest-- easy-going, adaptable, genuine, a pleasure to be around. She's got a natural graciousness and kindness, and its no wonder she has great reviews as a host here on AirBnB. When we discovered at a rather late moment that we wouldn't be around to see her out as she departed, she even closed up the house for us. Hope you come back, Jen, and see my garden in summertime!
Jennifer was the perfect guest, and I would gladly have her again. She kept the place clean and neat, and she was easy to coordinate with. She even brought me a fresh, vine ripe, heirloom tomato from her garden that looked gorgeous and tasted amazing. I would highly recommend Jennifer for hosting at her place or staying at yours.
Jen and Rene were great guests..we had a good time hosting them..
They were very friendly and easy. I hope they will come back..H
great guest ....definitely recommend!! She is very appreciated;
and enjoyable person to have as a guest.
Jen is fun, well-travelled and funny! She cooks delicious food and throws great parties. She loves to meet people and share stories. I haven't been to her current house, but I'm sure it's lovely and cozy. Jen can point out good stores, antiques and other.
