I'm part Italian, and have lived in Rome for almost twenty years... except for when I'm in the States. I did my graduate work at MIT and now I teach in Alabama. Living between two continents is complicated, but worth it!
The apartment is where I live myself when in Rome. Some of the furniture is still from when I was a graduate student--not particularly elegant, perhaps. But some of it are pieces I collected over the years. A bit of a mishmash, but feels very much like home to me. And you can see for yourself if you like it: it's exactly as in the photos.
I rent it out while I'm in the States, during the academic year; that means I generally not get to know my guests personally--except over email, that is. I really like my neighborhood and the city, and am eager to share as much information about it as you'd like. I try and make my guests' stay as pleasant as possible, even long distance.
