We love Asheville and enjoy exploring other destinations around the world.
Great cozy and clean cabin! Close to downtown but super private and oh the ambience! We loved this place and so did our dog!
Our cabin was so nice and only about 10 minutes from Asheville! We tried a brunch place called Knobby Creek about 2 minutes down the road and it was fantastic! The cabins make you feel as if you are in the middle of the woods even though they are located off of a highway near the interstate! Very quaint and affordable! Thanks!
Plenty of room for our group of ten adults and two dogs. Large, open gathering area and dining area was perfect for us. The sofa bed is very noisy, so don't plan on that for sleeping. In general, a very quiet place in February. However, route 26 runs directly above and behind the lodge.
My boyfriend and I made a last minute trip and we were perfectly accommodated! The cabin was the perfect size and totally cozy. We were easily able to hike all day and then make it downtown in the evening. I would definitely go back to the log cabin for our next trip to Asheville. Thank you!
Such a sweet place to stay. Wonderful hospitality, cute cabin, everything we needed :)
Great mountain home, extremely convenient to Asheville and some great spots in Weaverville. Most of the bedrooms are very spacious and the entire home is well-appointed, neat, and comfortable.
Our experience at the Motor Lodge was pretty good! At first when we pulled in my boyfriend was like "where are we...this place looks like it hasn't been changed since the 70's..." which maybe it hasn't, but it was rustic and fun and clean and just a really good time. I loved the fire place and the bed- my favorite parts. Another reviewer mentioned the shower, true it had no separate floor, it was just the bathroom floor- but the tile was clean and the water pressure was good and the water was nice and hot. We arrived right at 2 pm to check in and our cabin was not ready, the housekeeper was apologetic. I suggested that perhaps we could check out an hour late or get some free firewood as an exchange and the host was totally amenable to that, so we felt fine about checking in an hour late. You will not meet the owners as this is motor inn that has been running for quite a while. This place is a kind of classic motor lodge. The cabins are adorable and very close together. It was old school kitsch and a good time.
Loved this cabin! I had a great time here on a quick trip with my girlfriend. We got in late and they were well prepared to accommodate. Rustic charm with just the right balance of modern amenities. Thank you!
Cute, cozy cabin, just north of downtown Asheville. Had all the amenities necessary (towels, toilet paper, sheets, extra blanket). Smaller than it appears in the pictures online, but it was just fine for my boyfriend and me.
The one downside was that despite the "Open" sign always being displayed on the office cabin door, I was never able to catch someone there and it was always locked. We arrived late on a Friday night and they left the key and some documents in an envelope for us, which was great. I needed to return the signed fee agreement, but despite trying the office on Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday mid-morning when it was time to check out, we never reached them! I ended up leaving the fee agreement in the key dropbox along with the key, which was the extent of our checkout.
Otherwise, a great experience. I would definitely recommend staying here, just hope that you don't need anything from the office during your stay!
The cabin was cute and quaint! I really loved it! A couple things seemed odd but that wasn't a deal breaker. We live in Florida and we had driven 11 hours and got to the cabins 20 min early. Usually when you go to a place they let you get in your room early, however, the house keepers were eating lunch and they told us to go to town for 20 min. Not horrible just a little odd. I realize the cabins are old but the bathroom was like going to the bathroom while you were camping. I felt like I needed to wear shoes in the shower it was all one floor. No division between the shower and the rest of the bathroom. We are not used to the cold and so I made a point to ask if there was central heating. There was none therefore, we had to keep the wood burning stove on all night.
