Great 1BR with fantastic UES location! Three blocks from Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art and four short blocks from the 4/5/6 subway line which provides easy access to most of the main attractions in lower Manhattan -- we never took a cab for our entire stay and are glad we didn't shell out extra money to stay closer to the tourist areas. Two of us stayed at Chris & Meg's lovely apartment for five nights in October and would definitely stay there again. While there was some nearby construction going on starting around 8:30-9 (which Chris warned us about in advance and gave us a discount for the inconvenience), the building was very, very quiet -- probably more so than my own apartment. The apartment was clean, made great use of space, and has a futon for extra sleeping. Chris & Meg provided a useful guide to the city and maps, which made it easy to get around. We didn't try a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood, but don't miss out on Sarabeth's for breakfast (Madison Ave b/w 92nd and 93rd) -- it's a short 15 min walk and worth a visit. (We went three times. Try the lemon ricotta pancakes or the French toast.)

Dear Chris and Meg-
Thank you so much for welcoming us in your wonderful apartment. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend your apartment to anyone interested in renting in the Upper East Side. The apartment is well organized, clean and most importantly very cozy. The Mets is right up the street and there are so many nice restaurants around the neighborhood. Once again, I would recommend this place to anyone!
We had a fantastic stay in Chris & Meg's apartment. Perfect location in the UES, nice and quiet but easy access to the metro. Just big enough for 3 people - 2 sharing the bed and one on the couch - but comfortable and very clean. Communication was excellent from the first moment of contact. We especially appreciated the handy hints about where to eat and what to do and the complimentary fruit on arrival was a lovely touch! We would definitely recommend a stay at Chris & Meg's apartment!
We were absolutely satisfied with our stay at Chris and Meg's apt. The hosts were helpful and informative about the apt, the best ways to get there, and local places to eat. The apt is small and well-maintained, and 3 of us were very comfortable during our stay. A terrific location; very quiet; comfortable beds; coffee and a french press for our use - we look forward to a return!
It was my first Airbnb experience. I was nervous when I was researching on Airbnb. When I contacted Chris for inquiry, by the fist message he sent me, I felt that he was nice, straightforward, polite, honest, and easy to communicate with. That instilled trust and made me feel comfortable to do further communication with him. That’s also the major reason I chose his apartment for my stay in NY. To me, a good host is much more important than everything.
I made the right choice. Chris and Meg were excellent hosts; they provided more than what we needed to make sure we felt at home staying in their apartment. They have a welcome booklet for their guests, recommending nice local restaurants, and attractions. The apartment was clean, quiet, warm and cozy, and it’s located in a very convenient location; it’s about 5 minutes walking distance to the subway station, only a few blocks to central park, and about 20 minutes train to time square. Within a few blocks, we found several 24 hour stores, including a convenience store, a chain pharmacy store, and a donuts shop.
I’ll highly recommend Chris’s apartment, not only because his apartment is nice and in a very good location for traveler, but also Chris and Meg are excellent stress-free hosts to work with.
Chris and Meg have a beautiful home that is conveniently located, clean, comfortable, and adorable. My father and I stayed here for a weekend. We chose Chris and Meg's place because of its proximity to the subway and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We really enjoyed our stay. Chris and Meg were extremely easy to work with in preparation for our stay. Also, they went the extra mile to make us comfortable by leaving us a list of recommended restaurants, museums, and other attractions that only locals would know about. This helped us find some great things to do and tasty food that we may have otherwise missed. The building is very quiet and the windows face an interior courtyard so even though you are in a metropolis, you will sleep soundly. I highly recommend this rental.
They were awesome. Chris and Meg jumped right into the camp scene.
They were great guests. We shared some funny stories. I gave them suggestions on where to hike and places to go. They were respectful, kind and funny. I would love to have them back.
Chris & Meg have been very nice guests, welll organized, with easy and smooth communication and very respectful of the place that they left spotless. I can only highly recommend them to the whole airbnb community and hope that they come back!
Chris and Meg were great guests, flexible, positive and adventurous! Welcome back anytime!
Christopher, Meg and Chris' mum are lovely people. They could not have been better guests. They left my apartment as if nobody would have been there! Excellent comunication and extremely puntual. I would be happy to have them again any time. Thanks guys!
