The space was incredible and host extremely accommodating.

My wife and I just returned from 17 days in Torino where we stayed in Daniela's apartment referred to as "In the Heart of Turin Stylish Home". The name is definitely apropos. Our stay was absolutely fabulous!
First, let me comment on "In the heart of Turin". As the apartment is one block from Via Garibaldi and a short 10-15 walk from Porta Susa, it is most certainly in the heart of Turin. While we anticipated that being near Via Garibaldi and Porta Susa would give us easy access to the city center, we were very pleasantly surprised about all the other delightful things to do in the apartment's vicinity. If you Google the apartment at a street level view, Via del Carmine looks somewhat rundown (darn Graffiti) and relatively dull. This is actually an advantage because it is a quiet neighborhood. However, two blocks down Via Del Carmine transitions to Via Corte d'Appello, which has a number of interesting restaurants and nightlife. Thus, the best of all possible worlds, a quiet stay but a stone's throw from vibrant nightlife. Further, don't miss Santuario della Consolata (a must), the Cathedral of the Shroud, and the major marketplace on piazza della Repubblica, which are also in the neighborhood.
Let's move on the "Stylish home", which is also very true. The apartment has a good-sized well-equiped kitchen (with washing machine) and a reasonable sized bathroom. It also has a large living room, a separate large bedroom and ample storage in the back of the flat. Moreover the wifi service was excellent. The apartment overlooks a shared courtyard where one hears the sounds of everyday life in Italy. Superimposed on the more commonplace sounds were the occasional vocals of an operatic tenor practicing and a rich melodies of cellist........their delightful sounds wafting in through the large number of windows in the stylishly decorated flat.
Daniela was an excellent host (although we never physically met). All arrangements were very clear, and when we arrived her father was standing outside the flat waiting for us. Her father was very pleasant, interesting, and helpful in getting us set up in the apartment.
The only downside to the apartment is that it is on the fourth floor of a building I believe dates back to the 18th century (read no elevator). As Americans are wont to do, my wife an I each had suitcases filled to the 50-pound airline limit. Carrying all of your worldly goods up 80 stairs is not for the faint of heart. In fact, Daniela's father was generous enough to carry my wife's suitcase up when we arrived and when he reached the fourth floor he checked his heart rate with his new cool I-watch (it was pounding, as was mine). This could be a deal-breaker for some, but not for us, we would definitely rent this flat again.
This was our first experience using Airbnb. It was a first class experience both in using the web service and with our wonderful host.

Daniela is a lovely host! I have been half a year at Turin and felt really comfortable at her apartment. If there was a problem or I simply had a question she and Dario helped me immediately. Her apartments are located really central, who wants to discover Turin makes the right choice with this apartments.
If I have to go again to Turin I will choose Daniela as host again.
The place is simply amazing, relaxing, comfortable, full of beauty and good taste: it's the best way to enjoy your experience in this beautiful and not-full-of-tourists-but-charming city.
Daniela is very kind and she is a perfect host: she make you feel at home at the first time!
In the heart of Turin, and in my heart.
Daniela's apartments are light, warm, soulful and super comfortable, plus you'll be staying in a lovely old Torinese building. It's calm and quiet, but in the most interesting part of the city and close to everything. Daniela's kindness and insider knowledge of both the neighbourhood and Turin is invaluable, as is her wonderful sense of style. A rare and special find!
