Living onboard some of the time. But our lovely boat is also available for you to enjoy. I like bicycles, boats and beer - very happy to join you for a glass at one of the fine harbourside pubs!

Fantastic place to stay.
Tim was a great host - welcoming, remembered all the details (like an electric blanket) and keeps a clean boat. There was plenty of hot water and also wood for the fire.
Very centrally located, so you get anywhere easily. Facilities we great and the boat is a beauty.
Sadly i was unable to take advantage of the wonderful treat staying on Tim's narrow boat and therefore friends of mine got the treat instead. They're comments were that it was wonderful. They had a lovely couple of days and couldn't have been happier staying on the narrow boat. Tim apparently was the perfect host and the experience was perfect in every way.
Tim was friendly and efficient in accepting the booking and making arrangements for our arrival. Broadleaf was a lovely base for our short-break in Bristol, a cosy and surprisingly quiet place to stay near the city centre.
Amazing! Couldn't have been better. Such a lovely boat in a great location and we felt at home straight away. Comfortable and cosy, with lovely pubs right on your doorstep. Would recommend it to anyone!
If you're reading this you probably shoulda booked by now. Tim is really friendly and communication was instant throughout, even after a slight delay there was no problem.
The boat is beautiful, a great experience! It's pretty close to everything in town. The fire is lovingly cosy and the bed is so comfortable its difficult to get up in the morning. The swans will finish off your breakfast leftovers though.
All in all... Perfect!
Overall my stay in Bristol was great but what really made the trip was Tim's boat! Tim met us and showed us around the boat and the stove was already lit ready for us and a map of Bristol also there which Tim went through with us. The boat has everything you need and is in an amazing location that feels safe and only a 5-10min walk from a good selection of bars and restaurants. I will be recommending to my friends and family!
Excellent location. Right in the middle of where it all happens and yet so quiet. We spent NYE and were somewhat worried about noise but it is such a quiet spot. Enjoyed feeding the swans. Alltogether a very cosy, even romantic getaway. Tim was welcoming and helpfull. Do not hesitate to book !
What a fantastic trip! Was wonderful to stay somewhere so different; we didn't want to leave the boat! It was so warm and cosy and the bed had an electric blanket so was toasty for bedtime. Tim was excellent, he talked us through everything, was flexible with arrival and departure time (we were delayed in traffic but he didn't seem to mind at all) and made us feel very at home. The location is excellent- not far to walk to train station and the (£4 overnight) car park is literally up the ramp from the boat about 100 yards. Bristol and Bath and the boat were all very cool and festive!! Will definitely go back. And just to say.. The loo whilst new to us didn't cause any problems whatsoever..!
Perfect airbnb experience. Tim welcomed us at the boat with fire burning in the stove, and provided all the required information. The boat was very homely and comfortable. Location was great. Right in the city centre, yet sufficiently isolated for a quite sleep. All perfect and totally recommended.
Tim made us feel really welcome. Boat location was excellent - super central. Nice and cosy with a log/coal burner. Quite romantic. :)
Tim & Louise were very nice friendly guests, and my first!
They don't appear to be axe murderers, cheese thieves, or anything like that... so all is good.
Tim and Louise were lovely, considerate and fun guests who introduced us to the world of shanty singing!
Tim and his lovely partner Louise came to stay in our Shepherd Hut. They were great guests, shame they couldn't have stayed longer... Highly recommended !
As it happens I met Tim on narrowboat in Bristol harbour back in 2011. Since then we have developed a good friendship and have enjoyed a variety of boat themed excursions as well as the odd pint in and around Bristol's harbour. Tim is very friendly, generous, reliable and hospitable... and he enjoys a good laugh too!
I had the good fortune of living on Tim's boat 'Broadleaf' for a number of months and found it extremely cosy and homely. The facilities on board and are what you would expect from any modern apartment, except you have to 'light' the central heating rather than just 'turn it on'! The wood burner is a lovely feature and very warm! Can't think of a better place to stay in central Bristol or a better host.
Definitely 'ship shape and Bristol fashion'!
