I recently moved from upstate New York to the beautiful city of Izmir with my wife, Lauren, who is an art teacher at the American Collegiate Institute. I am a computer programmer, working remotely, and a martial arts enthusiast. Lauren and I love meeting new people and exploring new places.
We strive to be considerate guests; in New York, we managed a rental property, and so we know how important it is to find people who you trust and like to stay in the flat or house you've put so much love and time into. We try to be the type of guests that we ourselves would want to host.
As travelers, we tend to pack light and come home only to rest - for most of our time, we are out and about, exploring new foods, finding beautiful hikes, admiring architecture and historical sites. We are more likely to do a museum crawl than a bar crawl, though craft beer and live music have a gravitational pull on us.
