Aloha!....Welcome ! I've been hosting with Air for 2 years, and love sharing our "little slice of Paradise" with people from all over the world. Married for 25 years, my husband & I love to cook, relax, and enjoy nature.
We love Island life....things are slower pace here and more simple. I dance Praise Hula, work and in my spare time enjoy: making flower Leis, Baking, Gardening, and of course, going to the Ocean and Beach. :) We have 2 friendly dogs onsite: a F. Shep-Lab mix "Maggie", and a M. JR. Terrier, "Niblet" who is half couch-potato, half Jack Russell. Living only 4 streets up from the Beach- we definitely enjoy Maui's Beach lifestyle; Swimming, walking the many amazing Beaches nearby, snorkeling, easy hikes, and generally exploring around the Island. My husband can play several authentic Hawaiian songs on his Uke...a Heavenly treat to hear him gently strumming in the morning, or early evening. Our property has several organic Apple-Banana Trees onsite, Coconut Palms, Plumeria Trees and many types of Flowers that we utilize and enjoy. (ie. I bake Homemade Banana Bread using the Bananas right off our own trees, which I serve to our small two story Ohana booked Guests). Our property has over 500 palm trees on it. :)
--Our favorite type of Guests? Relaxed, easy going, Quiet, considerate, low key, flexible, and independent visitors are our favorite! -if you're a control freak or tightly wrapped- you won't thrive well here at all, as it's not Maui's or our way of life.....You'll find our whole property really tranquil. : ) Come enjoy our "Tropical Oasis near the Beach"
You will find us easy going, quiet, early-to-bed kinda people (early to bed, early to rise for the Beach, lol ).
We want you to feel our caring "Aloha", and feel like any Hawaiian "Ohana" (family)....Maui is a very special healing place and was our choice to move here to help my husbands longtime chronic pain condition.
I manufacture and formulate Natural Massage Lotion, as well as my (main) job- Graphic Design & Print brokering for over 30 yrs. -Being able to utilize my artistic creativity has been a true blessing in creating, decorating, adding my own personal style in designing the Ohana, and property grounds. I really love decorating and creating, it makes me happy to see guests enjoy the environment we've worked so lovingly on.
We Love Hosting! we have met so many wonderful visiting couples- and we Really enjoy making you feel welcome & well treated ! (ok, ..... pampered :) Your vacation Ohana is very private and it is detached, (we sleep on the opposite end of the property)- so you have lots of privacy and alone time to come and go Very independently.
We've thought of many, little special details in setting up the Ohana, so our guests feel welcome and comfy.....and want you to enjoy the tropical Backyard and your private Ohana.
By 9pm. all must be quiet, as Maui County wide has a strict ordinance, and we are committed to keeping peaceful existence with our nice neighbors, who are also quiet. :) ......its the Aloha way- to be mindful of others.
We are originally from Southern California. We've been to The Big Island, Oahu, France, Germany, and a few states throughout the Mainland.
Maui is our forever home now.
Our favorite thing that's changed since moving here? .. is the Slower Pace......(the fastest road is 40 mph. (if you want to drive fast)....but expect to drive 20 - 30 m.p.h. on average :-)
Maui pace is S-l-o-w,.. so... R e l a x- enjoy yourself ! , and take in all this Beautiful Island has to teach and show you ! (Ps. Fact: Maui Island has the Most Swimming Beaches of any of the Hawaiian Islands, 81 in all)- and where we're located is the Best Location to all those Amazing Beaches !
I tell my Mainland friends: I always wanted to live in a place that when I went on a Vacation- that's where I'd want to be!.....now we live at that place we call "Our little slice of Paradise".
PS. Did I mention that Maui produces it's own Chocolate (Cacao grows in Hawaii, we are the Only U.S. state that can claim this fact)...happy, happy!
e komo mai!
Hono Hono, Aloha Ke Akua Ka Koa
