I live in a loft in downtown Cleveland with my wife Karen. We're around 70. Karen is a retired teacher who grew up in Akron Ohio. I spent my childhood around Syracuse New York, but have lived in Northeast Ohio, New York City, Little Rock, Carmel California, Ottawa Kansas, Honolulu, and Erie Pennsylvania.
I have spent most of my working life bounding back and forth between starting new ventures, managing nonprofits, running marketing operations, and producing creative endeavors in writing, graphic design, and photography. The nonprofits I have worked at include The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Foundation, Heifer International, Esalen Institute, Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, and Discovery Square. I have started or been CEO of publishing companies, Web-based businesses, marketing companies, and nonprofit organizations. I have been a business reporter, newspaper editor, corporate communications manager, magazine editor, and magazine publisher. Currently I am ghost writing books.
You can learn more about Karen and me on our blog at SexagenariansInTheCity. I also manage and contribute to a website called Raise-Funds--a free repository of information for people engaged in managing and fundraising for nonprofit organizations.
