The Cabin Room is a very cozy room inside of the luxurious Bacon Mansion. Daryl served a delicious breakfast consisting of yogurt, fresh fruit salad, fresh baked muffins (peach pecan one day and mixed berry the next), and juice & coffee. The Bacon Mansion is very thoughtfully decorated with very nice furniture and things from Daryl's own travels. Daryl has been running this bed and breakfast for 19 years and is truly a pro. The Bacon Mansion and Daryl's hospitality made me feel like I was staying at a home away from home.
The house was very nice and a great location with easy transit to the tourist sites. The Iris room being at the top of the house had slanted roof angles that even being a short person I banged my head a few times. Breakfast was nice with fruit, cerals and muffin, but not a hot served full breakfast. Daryl provided brochures to the city attractions and helpful information on transit use.
Daryl was a great Host and Bacon Mansion is a wonderful B&B to visit while in Seattle. A frequently running bus to downtown is about a 45 second walk from the front door. The comfortable beds were made and rooms cleaned each and every time my mom and I returned from being away. I highly recommend the Capitol Suite for two travelers who need some privacy. Based on what I saw of the other rooms in this Seattle Bed and Breakfast, I would recommend all of them. I highly recommend Bacon Mansion!
