This was sent to Madamn Burnz 9/12/12. There has been no response:
Unfortunately, our stay with you on 9/3 and 9/4/12 went poorly. When we arrived at about 8pm 9/3, you seemed unprepared for our visit, our room, which was an enclosed room as you stated, was messy, and there were no clean bedding available. You did bring in a blanket and some pillows from the couch at about 10:30 that night. We were both going to sleep at that point, as we had to wake at 6am for work the next morning. At 12:30 that night, you took down art that was hanging from the wall on the outside of our room. The hammer and pulling out of nails was very loud, as the walls are thin. This went on for the next hour. We did not sleep very well that night.
Because I had paid for the second night already, 9/4, and my boyfriend and I have full time jobs and did not have time to find another place for us to stay that next evening, we stayed for a second night.
When my boyfriend and I arrived at 9:30pm on 9/4, the first floor of your warehouse, was being painted. This included all the walls, the ceiling, and the floor. In order to get to our room, which is attached to the kitchen, we had to cross this area. Our room shares a wall with one of the walls that was being painted. There was no painting in side of the room we were staying in. I introduced myself to the people who were painting, who seemed to be moving in, and did tell them that we would be going to sleep at 10:30pm that evening. They stated that they would be quiet.
It was never quiet.
I did not see you, but heard your voice at about midnight. At that point, I left the room and asked you to keep your voices down. This did not happen. We did not really sleep because there was constant talking, fighting, painting, cooking, and cleaning of dishes from 9:30pm until 4:45am that morning when we left the room.
When I opened the door at 4:45am that morning, you and your friend were having a conversation outside of our door in the kitchen, making food.
At that point, my boyfriend and I moved all of our stuff out of the room into our car parked on the street. We had to step around the homeless person and their stuff spread out in front of your front door.
This is an unsafe part of Oakland, and anyone who is new to the area, will be putting themselves in danger because of the high chance for car theft or mugging in this district.
Since I do have a full time job and I am relocating to a new home, it has not been my top priority to contact you. But because this is a safety issue, I feel it is needed.
Completely open and generous with her home and life. Had the most wonderful time and introduction to the city. Can't recommend highly enough!
