The host did a great job of making us feel welcome by having breakfast food available at the beginning of our stay. He was considerate and generous in allowing us to use different items around his house and made sure we had everything we needed. The neughborhood was nice and had friendly neighbors.
This is an awesome little eclectic house that has a personality all its own. It lives up to the Austin, TX vibe with an original feel and all the necessities. Perfect for a month long stay in the area. Clean, safe, comfortable, and plenty of space. Absolutely loved the stay!
Very nice meeting Daniel on arrival. The house was a great surprise, even better than the pictures.
We stayed a month and had everything we needed. Super convenient location and within a short drive of everything (Downtown, SoCo, Airport, Barton Springs...). The neighbourhood is a pleasure to walk around and very safe.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great experience in Austin. Thanks again for everything!
Daniel was an absolutely fabulous host. He had the apartment in great shape when we moved in, and even let us see the place in person before we decided to sub lease. He was very organized and responsive to our inquires and issues. The apartment is decorated very charmingly and looks even cooler in person. We had a very positive experience. The neighbors were great, the neighborhood was great, the overall stay was awesome. I would defiantly recommend Daniel's house for anyone looking to stay relatively close to downtown Austin.
We had exactly 24 hours in Austin, and we happened to be there en route to a wedding on the same weekend as ACL. Daniel was accommodating from the very beginning, as he let us book his house for just one night, even though I am sure he could have found someone to rent it for the entire weekend. Everything about our stay was perfect. Daniel and his wife met us at the house when we got there from the airport (only a 15 minute drive), showed us where everything was, gave us some restaurant recommendations and instructions for using the wifi, told us to text or call him if we had any questions, and left. The house is beautiful - super tastefully decorated, very comfortable, with a great yard - we kept saying we wished we could stay longer (and that we had such impeccable taste in decor...) The location was great - in the 24 hours we were there, we went to two museums near the University, explored South Congress and South 1st Street, went swimming at Barton Springs, checked out some great restaurants and live music - and it was all very easy to get to from Daniel's house. We were in a bit of a rush to leave in the morning, so I texted Daniel, and he told me where to leave the key, and we were off. This was our first airbnb experience, and I am already a total convert- never staying at a hotel again. I highly recommend staying at Daniel's house - it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. My only regret is that our time there was so short.
Daniel's place was perfect. His brother let us in. Thankfully, Daniel was always available during our stay because I locked myself out! He was also very accommodating to our last minute request to stay.
Stayed at this house for SXSW. It was very cute as advertised and my stay was quite comfortable. Nice back yard and deck for relaxing after long days walking around Austin.
Daniel was a great host. His home was neat, tidy, and very cute. I felt very comfortable staying here. It was a quiet oasis while working at SXSW.
I had to use taxis while in Austin and his home was about a $15 cab ride to downtown. There was plenty of street parking if you've got a car.
The backyard had a nice deck with a table and chairs. We used it a lot to sit out and relax.
Their home was filled with lots of great art books and had a really peaceful vibe. We used the kitchen quite a bit and the nearest store was a quick drive away.
Daniel & Jacqueline were fantastic & extremely interesting guests with multifaceted careers we enjoyed hearing about. They really enjoyed our space & community which made us feel good, in spite of the dreaded construction currently hindering travel. Not only were they super neat guests, they washed all of their dishes! We were glad mother nature smiled on them during their stay giving them full sunshine, rather than our general June gloom marine layer that sets in until early afternoon. They deserved a perfect weekend.
Daniel and his girlfriend have been great guests to host. They are considerate, friendly, quiet, respectful of other marina peoples' space and privacy, and generally pleasant to have around. We would be happy to host them again anytime!
Perfectly lovely to host Daniel. This great young couple was exceptional in every way: friendly, tidy, courteous, interesting.
We'd love to host them again any time and recommend them entirely to other hosts.
Daniel is a fantastic guest. He has stayed in our guest bedroom for 5+ weeks now and continues to be ultra respectful of our space and belongings. Daniel is open to new experiences which makes him a stellar partner in exploring the city and having a good time where ever you end up. He is also health conscious, environmentally responsible and interested in sharing new cultural ideas which makes for a super positive influence. My recommendation for Daniel as a Airbnb guest is the highest of high.
