Hospitality rules. It's what makes the world go round.
Looking forward to making new friends.
Clay wasn't there, but his roommates were friendly and helpful. It was easy to get the key when checking in. The room and bed were comfortable and clean. It's a pretty good location, about 7 minutes from the subway. The wireless signal was rather weak and a bit unreliable, but it was good enough to check email. The room faces onto a busy city street, so obviously it is a bit noisy.
Clay and his housemates were wonderfully relaxed, friendly and helpful people. Their place is ideally located, clean and safe.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Clay and his housemates were wonderful. We didn't get to see Clay very much but he and everybody else (Kyra, Molly, Kyle...) from the house were hospitable, down to earth, really interesting people, and all around great hosts. Clay set us up with everything we needed; and the housemates even invited us out to party with them the first night, and gave some great suggestions and info about the city. The ~15 min walk from the house to the subway stations at times seemed a little long - but only because of the hot summer weather. In any case, the area is really cool, and the trains (especially the L) were so fast and convenient to get to the city that we didn't really mind after all. We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Many thanks from Andrew and Marcus!
Clay moved to my hometown when we were 14, and we've been friends ever since. Now I'm lucky enough to have him live next door to me. Ever the adventurer, he's always planning trips camping, outings to new restaurants, or trying to meet new people. I'm happy to have been along for the ride on many of these experiences.
If you have the chance to host him, you'll come away from the experience with a new friend. If you stay in his room you'll find it neat, and full of good books.
