I'm a 30-something graduate student. I love living in Brooklyn! I've lived here for three years now. I'll gladly share tips about fun things to do in Park Slope and beyond.
I'm from NY (I now live in California) and I was immediately drawn to this apartment based on location and proximity to the subway and I'm very glad that my boyfriend and I stayed here. Nikki was accommodating, allowing us to leave our luggage after check-out so that we could enjoy the rest of our day before leaving the city. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an inexpensive place to crash after you've spent the entire day exploring the city. I will try to stay here again for future trips!
We had a wonderful stay at Nikki's place. The location and apartment were both perfect and exactly what we were expecting. Actually the apartment was slightly more spacious. Nikki is a wonderful host. She was very easy to plan with - easy to reach and low stress - and was accommodating to our late arrival. Our experience was a nice welcome to the airbnb world. Thanks Nikki!
Nikki has a really charming apartment located in Brooklyn , Park slope ( a lovely neighbourhood). We highly appreciated the location next to restaurants , shops, convenient stores and public transportation (from Atlantic subway station approximatively 15 to 20 min to the center of the city ). It gave us the opportunity to discover New York , like real new yorkers.
Thank you Nikki,
Nisma and Jakab
Nikki was a pleasure to deal with and her space cannot be beat for coziness, location, and value. Would definitely return happily!
We had a great stay in Nikki´s cozy apartment. It is very well located, close to many metro lines, and the neighbourhood is nice. The nearest supermarket is just on the corner. Nikki herself was very nice and helpful. I definetely recommend her apartment!
Nikki's place was great, she was always quick to respond to questions and had a nice shortlist of good places in the area. Would definitely stay again.
I stayed for 1 week at Nikki's flat and everything went perfectly smoothly. Although we didn't meet in
person we had excellent communication. Flat is in strategic position, near Barclays Center and especially
the uber-cool Fifth Avenue in Brooklyn where bearded thirty-something walk their doggies sipping iced
coffee. Loads of shops (I especially liked a thrift called Guvnor's which is literally round the corner),
bars, restaurants, botegas etc. Also at the Barclays-Atlantic subway stop there's plenty of metro lines
including number 3 which takes you to (near the) JFK. With number 4 you get off at Grand Central and
basically you're in the thick of things. I'd be happy to stay again. I would recommend it to no more than
Nikki's apartment was perfect for my five-day work trip to New York - a quiet living room for unwinding, north-facing so cool and a good breeze in the hot New York summer (very effective air con too), desk with great views from the windows for morning work before heading out (quick wifi), comfy bed and many books which were a welcoming distractions. Easy to use kitchen and bathroom, too. The apartment is very conveniently located, a few blocks from multiple subway lines, and the grocery store on the corner turns out to be a legend (soul music piped in, and lovely fruit). Nikki was also an excellent host - not there during my trip but she organised arrival and departure very smoothly, and her concierge list is short and perfect.
Nikki's quaint apartment is nothing short of awesome. The location (next to the LIRR Barclays-Atlantic lines) makes traveling into manhattan a breeze. The well-regarded gorilla coffee is just across the street and groceries can be easily procured from key foods which is 2 mins away (1 min if u are in a rush). Safety in the area is ok and we managed to get a peaceful sleep every night. In short, it's someplace I will recommend my friends who are keen on using Brooklyn as a launch pad for their NYC adventures! Thanks Nikki for the experience!
Nikki's apartment was great! It was clean, comfortable and in a great location. We had a lot of fun during our stay and it was really nice to have someplace to come back to at night that felt like home! Thanks Nikki!!
Nikki was a lovely guest and we hope she will stay with us again. They took excellent care of our property, were very considerate and a pleasure to host.
Nikki is a great host, and a great person, too! She is reliable and sweet, and funny to boot. Plus, she's a Red Sox fan, big time.
Nikki's apartment is comfortable and cozy. I've stayed there a few times. It's welcoming, and feels like a home away from home. I lived nearby a few years back, and can vouch for the apartment being in the center of everything (yet quiet! it faces onto backyards, so no street noise). There are many subway options, so it's a quick trip into Manhattan. But these days, you hardly need to ever leave Brooklyn.
The bed is excellent. The shower has good pressure. The cat is sweet. The coffee is strong. What more could you ask for?
