This apartment is an absolute dream! My boyfriend and I just got back from spending 5 nights in this gorgeous flat in Saint Jeannet and our holiday couldn't have been better. The terrace has unparalleled views over the Cote d'Azur and the apartment had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay in Provence.
Saint Jeannet is a small, quaint village full of friendly people. Though its restaurants and bakeries aren't the best (we had a bad experience at Le Petit Grillon and the Sainte Barbe left much to be desired), there is an outstanding bakery just down the road from the main village at Le Peyron and plenty of good restaurants in neighbouring villages (particularly in Saint Paul de Vence - we ate in Le Tilleul which had DELICIOUS food and great service). The supermarket in Le Peyron also sells everything you need and has (of course) a very good wine selection!
Franny was a superb host - very communicative and accommodating. Her husband, Richard, kindly took the time to meet up with us in person to hand over the keys and share his recommendations for our trip. They are both lovely people and were always willing to help out and answer any questions. I really can't recommend them highly enough.
The surrounding countryside and mountains are perfect for hiking and biking. My boyfriend and I did a particularly good hike in the little village of Coursegoules (about 20k from the flat) which took us up to the top of a peak from which we could see all along the Cote d'Azur and as far as the snow-capped Alps.
All in all, a perfect stay in a perfect apartment :)
Franny and her family are very charming, helpful and inspiring hosts. It was far more than just an accommodation and we felt absolutely well. The studio is a small architectural highlight: a wooden box in the garden containing everything you need: beds, table, a small kitchen and separate bathroom. All in a very pure and aesthetic style. The neighborhood is an interesting mixture: mainly housing, but also small cafés, vintage shops, creative niches, community gardens and other transformed spaces.
In short: a perfect place for people that are interested in culture, people and urban trends.
Really nice studio, perfect situated if you like to enjoy this part of the city (near london fields, brodwaymarcket ...) as well comunicated with city center.
Its very confortable, specially relaxing the breakfast in their faboulous garden. And totally independent from the main house.
Richard has been very kind and always handy to help us.
We'll go back in our next travel to London
The studio near Broadway Market was absolutely perfect! It's clean, cozy, and situated in a great part of London. Not only that, but Franny and her family were wonderful hosts. They were extremely friendly and helpful (gave great recommendations). Absolute 10/10. If I return to London, this is where I'll be staying!
We stayed two weeks at Franny’s home which is situated in a very adorable village. The view from the terrace was fantastic, the village with its little commerce jut fun and the people living there most friendly. The apartment was ok but do not take a lot of dresses with you. There is not a lot of space to stow them away. Also keep in mind that the parking lot is not close by and therefore, travel lightly.
It was a very good idea of Franny to mention now clearly in the internet that this is a self catered apartment. Expectations may otherwise be too high.
We enjoyed our stay and the whole package – terrace, village, region – made our holidays very worthwhile.
Thanks Franny and her lovely family! Really nice and quiet week-end. The restaurant Rotarino was famous, thanks for your advice et reservation.
Franny is a great host! The information she provides both prior to departure as well as in the house is very thorough, informative and helpful. We knew exactly what to expect and reality was even better! The house is just great and the view from the terrace could well be the best of the entire Riviera. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and plenty of books to enjoy in the warm sunshine. Do take a short morning walk/climb to one of the 2 bakeries and enjoy your croissants and baguettes on the terrace, you couldn't be happier! St Jeannet has lots to offer and when you walk the streets you go back in time, so much history. The area is beautiful with lots of great historic towns and of course the Mediterranean coast is a must go. We whole heartedly recommend this house and hope to be back again ourselves one day.
The flat in St Jeannet is absolutely stunning and has a beautiful view - across the bay of Nizza until Antibes. The house itself is quiet, nicely decorated and completely equipped.
The town of St Jeannet is very nice and has some good restaurants and bakeries. The location is perfect for day trips to Nice/Nizza (20 min by car), St Paul (30 min), Antibes, St Tropez, Grasse, Monaco...
Richard and Franny were wonderful hosts! They had great suggestions for places to eat (try Bistroteque) and activities, and were fun to chat with. The area is a little reminiscent of Brooklyn - a once downtrodden area has been reinvigorated by young families, hipsters and artists - a cool neighborhood. Their garden studio is modern, cozy and perfectly situated in their lovely backyard. A little haven in busy London. We would be glad to stay here again!
Franny and Richard have been wonderful! The room is lovely and very well looked after. My mother stayed there for a long weekend and loved it. Defo will go back there!
Merci pour votre venue, vous serez toujours les bienvenus.
Franny was a delight to host! She is wonderfully friendly, polite, a great conversationalist and was respectful of my home. I really enjoyed her stay and am now hooked on reading her books. She is also an Air Bnb host with a lovely place in France.
A very enthousiastic person! We were happy to have her in Barbirey, and are glad to welcome her again in a few days!
A fantastic family with children polite.
we were happy to have them as guests.
Hello Franny, we hope to see you again!
