Emilia stayed at the apartment for a bit over three weeks, she seemed polite upon her arrival and also during the few times I spoke to her. However, it was very problematic dealing with her on several occasions because I didn't think Ms. Emilia understood the cancellation policy that was instituted. Even though there was clearly a strict cancellation policy and all the necessary obligations to the guest was stipulated upon making the reservation, Ms. Emilia wanted to cancel her reservation a few weeks before her check-in date without penalty. I made it clear to her that I have a strict cancellation policy because my apartment is in high demand and it is imperative that someone keep their reservation when they make it. I was even willing to give her a higher percentage of her money back compared to what she would have initially received than if she had just cancelled the reservation, yet that wasn't enough so she decided to keep her reservation. During her stay she was quiet and didn't make many requests, except that she wanted to have her sister stay over for a week in the room she rented. I made it clear to Emilia that it wasn't possible since she had to be considerate to her other roommates who were renting the space and also because the room was small and there is a single bed. Ms Emilia didn't seem to care that she was sharing the space with other people and they too weren't allowed to have guests over, so she was a bit persistent about her request. When she realized that I wasn't going to allow her sibling to stay, she started making request for me to credit her a part of the money she had already paid, so she can go someplace else to rent a room for a week for her and her sister. I also said no to this because I thought it was an absurd request, since she had already been staying inside of the room at a reduced monthly rate and that I had explained the cancellation policy to her several times before she entered the apartment. I found it a bit stressful to deal with Emilia because of her persistence in receiving a credit, while disregarding the agreement that was made so explicit to her when she made the reservation.
