My name is Søren. I was born in the southern part of Jutland just near the German border. Before moving to Copenhagen in December 2001, I studied and lived 5 years in Aalborg (northern part of Jutland).
I live in the very center of Copenhagen, Denmark in a very nice apartment (145m2/1315 sq. ft.) which I've put a lot of effort into.
I use Airbnb myself and it's my preferred way of travelling. Two of the reasons I love it so much is that 1) you get to stay where the locals live and not in the middle of tourist-hell and 2) you don't have to bother with a hotel's housekeeping early in the morning :)
I am very fond of great food, wine and cocktails. I love to cook and having friends over for dinner is almost a weekly thing for me. Aside from that, I go to a lot of wine tastings (my username on Vivino is noedskov) as well as live concerts. When travelling, my friends and I never plan too much ahead. We're not the typical "let's go to the museum" tourists but we'll often just jump on a bus into town (or out to the country), get off somewhere near the "destination" and see where we end up. We rarely ever end up where "everyone else" ends up but somehow it seems like we always find truly great places travelling like this and - best of all - we seem to make great friends all over the world.
Professionally, I've been in IT since 2002 as a developer, lead developer, technical project manager, senior consultant and currently I run my own company. As much as I enjoy working I must say that I work to live and not the other way around.
Come to Copenhagen and let me show you around. If you're anything like me, I know I'll be able to make you feel welcome and show you everything from great restaurants, wine bars, cocktail bars and dive bars (wow, that was a lot of bars!) as well as all the great live music spots.
When you're here - you're family :)
