I'm from Minneapolis, MN. I own my own consulting business and am able to travel pretty freely. I travel most with my 5 yr old son.
After crossing many oceans and many countries, one of the most incredible places I've been is Marin County, California. There is an energy to the air once you cross the Golden Gate Bridge. When you really get into the winding mountain roads, that air is something you can feel straight to your soul. Some of my most vivid memories while traveling are watching the roads go by. My uncle driving me through rolling hills and winding roads outside of Seville, hopping on the back of a pick-up to take me across Ometepe, speeding through the jungle vines in the front of a double decker bus in Sai Kung, or reaching the peak of the highest mountain in the Tetons in the bench seat of my parents' red conversion van, peering through the fog. Those quiet times, as you're watching a whole new world pass through your eyes.
