We had such a lovely time staying at Ines' home over Christmas. It was very cozy and relaxing. Ines was a gracious host and was there to meet us when we arrived. She took time explaining how things worked (faucets, laundry, etc.) and showed us where everything was in her home that we might have needed. The kitchen had most amenities and we made some delicious meals. The neighborhood was fantastic as well. Lots to do and lots of great places to eat/drink, we even found a bar and a coffee shop where we could bring our dog. All in all we had a fantastic vacation and would love to go back!
Ines is an awesome host. She is lovely, kind, and attentive. Her sister lives on the ground floor and they take good care of the building. We recently stayed there for 6 weeks. The place has a treehouse feel and gets tons of light. Decorated in a hip rustic manner, we always felt at home. Great kitchen. Great neighborhood. Great experience. Parking was never really an issue. Just pay attention to the signs. Yet I come from NYC so my standards are slightly different then those who have had a driveway all their lives.
Mont-Royal is a 5 minute walk.
Parc La Fontaine 5 minutes the other way.
And ChezJose is all you need!
Ines' apartment is great, comfortable, and in a great location. And Ines is a great host, she let us check in early and gave us a great list of bars and restaurants to check out. Highly recommended.
Ines's place is super cute and in a great neighborhood. Ines was out of town, but her sister, who lives just downstairs, gave us the keys and showed us around. We also got to have the cat Fifi as company- very cute.
One thing- the next door neighbors had a bit of a party both nights we were there and the walls are very thin. Bring earplugs!
Ines is lovely, so helpful and accommodating. We loved her apartment and its very much like the pictures she has posted. The neighbourhood had everything we had hoped for and didn't have to go far for an amazing dinner and night on the town.
My wife and I loved the place, very cozy and well located. Parking can be tricky but normal for Montreal. Was easy to make arrangements with Ines, fast to reply. Would stay there again for sure.
Ines's home is true to the photos - it's a gorgeous place filled with personal artifacts and fascinating expressions of personality. We felt as though we were crashing at a friend's place. Ines's sister was the one to meet us and show us around - since Ines has been out of town for a while, the apartment hadn't been lived in or kept up for a while, so there were some scattered clothes, expired items in the fridge, and no toilet paper. However, it was generally clean - fresh towels and a super comfortable bed were much appreciated. There was also no wifi when we visited (Ines notified us of this before we got there but after we had made our reservation), which was rather inconvenient, although it should be fixed by now. The neighborhood is perfect - close enough to the subway, across the street from a gorgeous church, and within walking distance of all the parts of the Plateau that one might want to go. We really appreciated Ines's sister's restaurant suggestions - the tapas place around the corner was awesome. Overall, a wonderful stay - the natural light, expressive decor, and wooded feel of the apartment are marvelous for a weekend trip.
Ines' place was charming, clean, convenient, and comfortable. She was very easy to communicate with..
Ines' apartment is super cozy and we immediately felt at home. Ines was always available in case we needed it. The location is super convenient as well. The only downside is the paper thin walls, we could hear the neighbours really well. We were 2 adults and 2 children and former Montrealers.
Ines' place is well renovated and spacious, but it had not been cleaned before our stay, which made it a pretty unpleasant place to stay at. For this reason, I would not recommend it.
We were pleased to be able to accommodate Ines and her boyfriend for a last-minute reservation request - they were very flexible with what we thought would be a late check-in, and happy when it wasn't late after all. They were very respectful and asked about house rules, which I appreciated a lot. We never crossed paths because it was such a quick trip, but we would definitely have them back if they pass through again!
Ines and Yola were so much fun and very easy going I loved having them and would definitely have them again!
