Lori was available any time I needed anything and I felt welcome. I loved my little cottage. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and just as it was pictured. I drove into downtown Austin each day and found it to be a very quick and easy drive. I would definitely stay here again.
Loved the little bungalow! It had everything I needed for my trip... very cozy. Lori was very responsive, personable and made everything very easy for me. The room was also full of snacks that were great for a morning or late night snack! My next trip to Austin will include a stay here.
Was extremely comfortable and welcoming to say the least. I was in and out due to work at SXSW however it was exactly what I needed in the sense of getting away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.
Had to make a last-minute trip to Austin for business and am so glad I found this little getaway. The poolside cabana is a really adorable spot - so glad I stayed here instead of a boring hotel. The room was cozy, very clean, had great internet -- everything I needed. Only a short 12 min drive to downtown.
One thing I liked about staying here was that we didn't need to juggle schedules to get me access to the place, there was a keypad and all information that I needed was available upon arrival. It was very easy to use Uber to get around and it was about 12$ to downtown and cars came in 4/5 minutes. There is also a Torchy's very nearby which was awesome for lunches.
Lori is very nice and welcoming. The place is exactly how described it was great. Will definitely stay again if I ever find myself in Austin.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend at what felt like our own personal Poolside Oasis. The bungalow was perfect for the two of us; an excellent place to spend our anniversary/Valentine’s Day weekend. The bungalow is super cozy, well designed, and very clean. Lori and Will are excellent hosts! We were thrilled to find a bottle of champagne and chocolates in the refrigerator when we arrived. We would definitely stay with them again when we are in Austin.
I greatly enjoyed the accommodations and the location in my first visit to Austin. Centrally located it allowed me to travel to all points of interest in less than 25 minutes. (Just avoid the I-35 during rush hour) Lori took the time to chat about her experience of living in Austin and was kind to answer many questions I had in regards real estate and how the city has grown in the time she and her husband have lived there. As I'm looking for a place to retire, the visit piqued my interest to examine the city further. Great stay!
The little poolside getaway was so fun and beautiful.
Lori was so sweet and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!
My original trip to Texas was to visit my sister in Pflugerville, but my boyfriend and I decided to book a place to stay in a couple days prior just as a mini vacay. We both fell in love with Lori's modern poolside getaway houses, and were extremely excited for our stay. Though we were still amped from the beautiful pictures, it is definitely so much better in person. It was so cute, cozy, and we loved all the small details and pieces of art that decorated our little weekend home. The bed was SO comfortable and the rainfall shower head was just amazing. The only minor problem I can think of is that the shower head feels a little too close to the wall. Our stay took place during the one weekend where it actually got a little chilly, so we had a little issue with the heater, but that's expected when it hasn't been used all summer. The water bottles and treats in the fridge were very much appreciated.
We didn't see or interact with Lori in person until our departure in the morning on our last day, but she was super responsive through text messaging and made sure she was available for any questions. Staying here is a must!
Lori and Bill were really fine guests. They were great communicators from the start, quiet, respectful and took great care of our space. They are lovely people and we really enjoyed getting a chance to chat with them a couple of times during their visit. Any host should be pleased to have them as guests!
I live in Houston and Lori and Bill frequently host my husband and I for weekend visits. Their guest houses are gorgeous, comfortable, have all necessary amenities and look out over a fantastic pool and hot tub! They are located in a safe neighborhood in a close-to-central part of the city with quick/easy access to downtown. I would recommend their place to anyone in a heartbeat! Lori and Bill are who I want to be when I grow up--happy, stable, still madly in love and successful. They are, without a doubt, two of the best people I know! Why is that important, you ask? Who wants to stay with (or can trust) crazy people?! You'll be in excellent hands.
Lori and Bill have been two of my closest friends for the past 20 years, really family. I have been truly blessed to have them in my life. For the past 6 years of living in NYC, they continually opened their home to me each time I visit Austin, TX. I jokingly refer to their home as Casa de Goodpasture, and then the most exciting news came earlier this year...they decided to build modern guest houses along side their pool and rent them out!
My husband and I were lucky enough to be one of the first guests. What a peaceful, relaxing vacation! Not only did we sleep like babies, we had a kitchen and full bathroom and cute dining table to sit at. They decorated each house differently, really feels like your getting personal touches.
Our absolute favorite part was waking up in the morning and having our coffee outside on the patio overlooking the pool. How more relaxing can it get! Your in for a real treat at Casa de Goodpasture, or whatever they choose to call it ;-) Regardless of the name, you will certainly enjoy your stay!!
Lori and her husband, Bill, kindly opened their NYE-party doors to my husband and me when we first moved to Austin. We became instant friends and I can't imagine my life without them. Fast forward 7 years and we're all flying to Hawaii for a birthday getaway. This was a 7 day vacation and a true testament of how solid our friendship is. There wasn't one argument the entire time!! I don't think that many friends can say they've had that sort of experience. They are so easy to get along with and make every visit we have with them memorable. They are the most gracious hosts, super clean, and will leave you wanting to visit them again and again.
