Carrie and Alain live in Barrow, Alaska, in an apartment overlooking the Arctic Ocean. The land is very flat with no trees, mountains, large hills, or bushes. We have snow more than half the year and in the other months a lot of mud and puddles. Carrie works with families with young children with disabilities and Alain is working in a department supporting the local hospital. We live in Barrow because Carrie wanted to do her job and Alain was very patient and loving to come along. We like to read, cook, travel, and tell stories on our blog about our two cats. Alain likes to do math problems, Carrie likes to do word puzzles, and we both like to explore. We both work really hard and many hours and enjoy traveling because we are passionate about trying new things. We are frugal at heart but where we live is so expensive that we are often surprised at prices when we travel. We have visited Spain, Gibraltar, Morocco, Canada, Hawaii, and many USA states. Alain has also been to India and Nepal, and Carrie has been to France and Israel. We have previously lived in a cabin with no plumbing in Fairbanks, Alaska, and a house trailer in Anchorage, Alaska, so we are quite skilled at "roughing it."
Carrie has completed online and offline ID verification.
