Marco met us at the station (Metro and train) and directed us to the apartment that is, as others have mentioned, only a few minutes away. This is a very convenient location if you do not care to be right in the historic center. All types of transportation easily accessible. The apartment is large, clean and quite sufficient for a short stay. Shops, markets and restaurants are all close by and Marco recommended other excellent restaurants in the city as well.
We had a lovely stay at Marco's, it's located 200m from Tiburtina's station which allows you to take the metro very easily and the buses as well (as most of them in the center have Tiburtina as final destination). The flat is really clean with everything you need :) We were 4 adults during 4 nights and the flat was big enough for the 4 of us.
Marco is a really nice host and explained us everything we needed to know. He even helped us with the loss of a luggage and gave us a lot of tips to eat real italian food. He really did everything to make our stay pleasant.
The only downside is that there is much traffic in the street so we heard a bit the cars but as we're at the highest floor level, it wasn't so disturbing.
In brief we definitely recommend you this place for your stay in Rome :)
Marco was clear with directions of the meeting point.
He was very skilled in providing us useful information on the city and what is available nearby.
The neighbourhood is well serviced by small supermarkets around. Metro is just 3 minutes walk from the apartment, so that made everything easy. Marco adviced us to take the local train from the airport that costed 8 euros instead of the highly advertised 14 euros train from the airport. However, for the return, we wanted to leave from TERMINI station and the same local train was not available. That caused us some trouble but Marco could not have guessed that.
Apt is as described. Very clean and functional. There was dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, coffee.. etc.. that made things very convenient for us.
Bathroom, shower, hot water, internet—everything worked vey well. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and will stay there again!
The street below is a bit noisy though with the windows shut we could sleep with no problems.
there is a train that costs 8euros that is making few stops and one for 14euros direct. I
Marco is a great host, he gave us some tips regarding places to go in Rome. The pizza of Soleluna are wonderfull, as Marco say, the best pizza of the galaxy.
We had a wonderfull time in Rome. The appartment of Marco is in walking distance from Tiburtina Train Station. The appartment is clean and in a safe neighbourhood.
Thank you Marco, till next time.
My parents went there for 5 nights and one of the first things I was looking for was easy access to/from the Fiumicino Aiport and to the city center. The appartment was perfect for that as it is in walking distance from Tiburtina Train Station.
Everything was great, the price is very good for the facilities offered.
The only thing that my parents complained about was the Wi-Fi that did not work for them. But there is a possibility that the problem was with their Ipad.
All in all, it was a great vacation and they were very happy with the trip that I have gifted them.
Marco is very nice host. He gave us some really useful tips regarding places to go. We are especially appreciative of restaurants recommendations and of course safety advices. The district is quite close to city center, you can use subway during day or catch the bus even at night. The flat is clean and there are everything you need are available.
There is a Tiburtina train station near this accommodation so the journey to Fiumicino Airport was very short and simple.
So thanks Marco for really warm welcome!
Marco's place was really good - much bigger than in the photos. The kitchen and bathroom are both excellent and the bed is pretty comfy.
It's a really easy Metro ride into the centre, although make sure you know which buses you need to take to get you home after midnight.
As a host, Marco was really good - despite the fact we were late and he was in a rush to get somewhere, he gave a long list of recommended attractions & restaurants that gave us some good days & evenings. We didn't see him after the first day, which I suppose is ideal - everything worked perfectly.
