I work at a startup (Kato, http://(email hidden)) that I co-founded in 2013. I'm 32, married, with three children. We've lived in our house since 2006. My parents also live in Oakland. You would never guess it, but I'm actually a Russian immigrant. My wife is African-American and a San Francisco native - she is a dancer, specializing in West African dance.
I'm a fan of bicycles, coffee, good literature, well-made things, Oakland weather, and quality universal healthcare.
We've built a studio in our relatively ancient house (1881), which was first used as a neighborhood preschool co-op, and then as our living room. As we're slowly plowing through several long-running renovation projects, we've decided to help finance them by Airbnb-ing the studio.
