Riddhi Siddhi Bhawan is the home of Karni & Darshini. It is a modern home with most modern comforts and facilities
We had a lovely stay with Karni and his wife. They have a nice comfortable home in a central location in Jodhpur. We enjoyed an evening with them and they cooked us a delicious dinner. We couldn't have asked for more. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for everything :)
During our recent visit to Jodhpur, my mom and I stayed with Karni and Darshini for two nights. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend their home.
Riddhi Siddhi Bavan (RSB) is located slightly away from all the typical touristy hotels and guest houses in Jodhpur (there is a Karni Bhawan Hotel right next to RSB so that might get a little confusing for some people). We hired a local auto rickshaw wala from right outside RSB to take us around town for Rs.500 for the entire day. The palace, fort, clock tower etc are all about 15/20 minutes ride from RSB which was perfect.
Darshini is a super star and we absolutely loved chatting with her about pretty much everything under the sun! She made some amazing breakfast for us both mornings - Idli Sambar on day 1 and parathas (Indian bread) and sabji (veggies) on day 2. It was as if we were staying with friends.
The room (and common areas), bathroom and sheets were clean and spacious. Overall we had a relaxed stay and highly recommend RSB.
A brilliant stay. We were looked after so well, nothing was too much trouble for these hosts. Both were welcoming, easy to talk to and told us a lot about India.
We cannot speak highly enough of our experience in Jodhpur and thoroughly recommend Karni's homestay.
Super food and very comfortable en suite room.
We even had the unexpected pleasure of being taken to a polo match.
Jodhpur was the first stop in our three week trip to India, and our stay with Karni and his wife was delightful. The home is clean, spacious and conveniently located. Karni and his wife were most friendly and welcoming. They even helped with suggestions on what to see and where to eat around town, and how to get around India in general. We are thankful to them for their hospitality and we would definitely recommend this homestay during your trip to Jodhpur.
The host was very accommodating in providing extra blankets and heater for our room as the Jodhpur nights can be quite cold in winter.
We also sampled a typical Rajastani dinner prepared by the host.
We enjoyed meeting young Hassan a ten year old member of the household who was very helpful and who has a wonderful smile.
Karni and Darshini offer a home stay service in their beautiful home located close to the Umaid Bhavan Palace.
The guest house is very clean and our air conditioned room was furnished to a high standard with soft, high quality furniture and linen.
Our hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. They helped us with our itinerary and most graciously allowed us to check out much after the check out time so we could catch our late night train to Jaisalmer. Dinesh, the house help, plied us with delicious chai and even cooked a south Indian breakfast to make us South-Indians feel welcome.
Riddhi Siddhi Bhawan is a beautiful place to stay, and Karni and Darshini were an absolute delight!! The place is brand new, pristine rating for cleanliness and their housekeeper/cook was always at hand offering cold water or delicious chai upon return to the house. :) We had a fabulous time chatting with everyone both nights -- lively and fun (website hidden) in the room worked great and there was also a high speed fan, but note the common area where meals are taken is not air conditioned, but there are several high speed fans in that area of the house. While WiFi was unavailable during our stay, we were able to use the Internet upon request via Karni's USB air card, which was sufficient for us. We also enjoyed Karni's recommendations for the train and things to do in Jodhpur, and Darshini's help in researching yoga and massage places as well as a shop that could repair our broken bag -- what a help!
